The four floating monuments of destruction glided effortlessly and silently down the face of a hill towards where the majority of the fighting seemed to be happening. The vermin were caught so off guard by the initial assault, they seemed unaware that another small contingent of mobile artillery approaching their city from the south. By the time they became aware it was too late. It appeared the feeble creatures had over deployed their advanced infantry to the north, and left their evacuation site unprotected in the south. A mistake Tohltek had no intention of letting them learn from. With pleads and cries, the citizens of the pathetic city vanished from this world. All that remained were once again scorch marks and blood spatter. It was not long before this atrocity was noticed by other warriors, and they began to attack in force, obviously wanting some kind of vengeance. The firepower the organics brought to the table was surprising, but it was not enough. With concentrated fire the fools were able to tear apart two of the contingent, but the precision and deadly stopping power of Tohltek's heavy gauss cannon stamped out any hope of victory for the attackers.
"Aun'Vre Ki'tah has fallen!" Was reported all over the Vox and the whole morale of the defenders broke in, dieing where they stood as if their will for fighting had been removed immediately. "REGROUP, GET THE BODY OF THE ETHERREAL!" The Commander ordered and a stealth team only reported that it would be impossible as the corpse of the Etherreal had been disentigrated, all troops from all sides retreating into the center of the Base, save for the Broadside cruisers and Riptides which tried to cover the retreat and kept firing on the Necron Legions on the ground. "Remove all of them, Kor'O! ORBITAL STRIKE!" He ordered and soon it happened. At all sides huge Ion Cannons were fired from the Sky. 3 Ships with concentrated fire on the ground troops of the Necrons. The Monolith in the west taking a direct hit, enduring just now, but the Necron Warriors and Flayed Ones around getting heavily damaged through the intense Ionized weapons, disturbing their signals and systems. But before much more harm could be done the fresh risen ships of the Necronlord flew right into them, going almost undamaged from that, continuing to enter Orbit and start fire upon the Tau ships. The 2 Lar'Shi Cruisers were devastated by Necron fire, the shields only withstanding seconds of their fire, the Lar'Shi'Vre Flagship though enduring a bit longer, with deployed Mantas, Barracudas and other ships trying to fend the few Necrons off, but having no success as they enter the hangars and just fly straight through, ignoring their own damage, breaking the hull of the Cruiser, destroying the bridge, the generators starting to overheat and cause a chain reaction, blowing the ship into little pieces. The Tau Commander barking orders, wanting to take at least a few of these mechanical slaughter machines to death with him he started to fire his fusion blasters and shoulder rocket pods upon the Necron Lord that was marching at him from north. The armored Tau division laying in wrecks, thanks of the Immortals, the east and south completely broken, save for the few Broadside Cruisers upon the walls along with their 3 Riptides that tried to fight off the incoming Destroyers, Lychguard and the two Crypteks. "This is my world, and you will teach me what has happened to it." Lord Ythak spoke, killing Firewarriors to his right and left with his staff, approaching the Commander, walking through his weapons, taking only minimal damage. "Destroy all of them, let none live." He orders his subjects as he ram his staff into a leg of the Tau Commander. OOC: sorry if it seems to not include you guys' characters so much, but the Etherreal died and that is kinda big deal, also I kinda want each of you have their own fun so feel free to decide what you fight against, etc. As I said at the start this is a more fun and less serious intended RP which means you do not have too much to expect that your characters will die, etc.
OOC: I always forget that.... edit right away (DoW corrupted me with leaving corpses behind, I always have the image it hits others like Zoanthrope Blasts)
Ovaius materialized next to the Necron Lord as the battle dwindle down to just clean up of the tau forces. He glances curiously at the Tau Commander, but then losses interest and searches around for the signs of other necron commanders to report in. He also does a broad scan of information from nearby commander's feed to take note of the situation around the fallen tau base, trying to get a clear sense of what to do next or if any lingering threat remained.
Zytrex could see the massive columns of ion fire descending from the heavens - striking down many of the Necron forces, leaving devastating caps in their ranks. But at the same time it signaled something else, something significant: The enemy was getting desperate. From a few streams of data he was able to get up to speed on the fight. The Tau - as he had identified them from a unknown line of communication - had lost someone of great importance and were in a full retreat toward the middle of their base. Eliminating them would be even easier if they were in one large huddled group. But he had more concerning matters to deal with at the moment - matters which could prove fatal if handled arrogantly. Three massive battlesuits had arrived to purge the Necron threat, and they had him in their sights. The Harbringer of Destruction dropped a sturdy Tau body he had had in his left hand - turned to face these clearly powerful machines of war with staff clenched tightly in both hands. With a practiced mind he quickly calculated his chances of survival against these three new foe, and found them slim. But, against one he might prevail. The others would need to be taken out by someone else. Zytrex sent a message to Aethilas and Vitokh who were both close to him and pleaded for their aid in this fight. Aethilas he suggested to take the one on the right and Vitokh he suggested to charge the left one. This way the fight would be over quickly. For himself he left the middle one. He raised one sharp hand at it and pointed with one finger, challenging it to a duel. Now he could only hope for its acceptance... Or he would just attack them all, together with his allies.
"Aid Zytrex and the others, Ovaius, they need your aid." Lord Ythak ordered, stabbing his Staff into each shoulder of the Tau Commander, then ripping his helmet off and unleashing his Mindshackle Scarabs upon him, the lord smirked within his mind as the Scarabs did their work and the Commander became his puppet. In the meanwhile the Broadside Cruisers were falling upon the fire of the Monolith which closed down from the West, they trying to turn around and fire upon the huge levitating fortress, leaving the Riptides alone against the Cryptek, Lychguard and band of Destroyers. "THOU SHALL FALL!" The Riptide Pilots say together and activate their Experimental Reactors, creating similar energy to what is created by suns, powering their systems up and multplying their efficiency. One of the Riptides disengaged to fight the Monolith, firing concentrated with the Broadsides upon it, harming it first only a bit, but suddenly the fire power increased and drilled into the Monolith, penetrating it into it's very core until it's light started to flicker, shooting at the newest threat, failing to harm it before going itself down, crashing against a building and with deactivated engines ultimately falling to the side, crushing it's own troops. Similar events on the East Side after a Riptide disengaged to support the eastern front, destroying the Necrons with it's latest Tau Weaponry, though all 3 pilots started to feel the effects of the Radiation. Not that they cared as they were here to avenge the Etherreal and their commander, having failed their duty they shall not return to their Sept in shame. Not that there was any outlook to return anyway with their ships destroyed... The remaining Riptide aimed on the Lychguard's shield, aiming on penetrating it with the new firepower it gained through the activated reactors.
Aethilas' staff glowed brighter and brighter as he slowly created a little time sphere that almost instantly expanded into a big shield protecting his allies from projectiles for a short period of time. The three battlesuit pilots fired their weapons immediately without hesitation. So blinded by rage and nothing left in their lifes anymore, their shots blowed up a lot of dust and dirt into the air blocking their vision. The XV88 Broadside Battlesuit, which Aethilas was assigned to, tried to get some distance to gain more time to react to an attack, firing his missiles into the smoke cloud, but it seemed already to late for him since Aethilas was already behind him by manipulating his movement speed with his Aeonstave. Blasting a highly concentrated telekinetic shock wave into the Battlesuit armor, causing huge damage, but not killing the pilot within. The Tau veteran laid down on his back to cover the hole that the shock wave caused and tried desperately to finish off Aethilas with a precise railgun shot. The shot slightly creased Aethilas lower left torso while the necron managed another concentrated blast blowing off the head of the Battlesuit partly revealing the pilot. Thus, Aethilas was able to use the blades attached to his staff to cut off the pilot's head and seal his fate.
Ovaius nodded and rematerialized on one of the more stable structures left standing. He quickly spot the trio battlesuits and witnessed the destruction of one of them at the hands of Aethilas. As ahother one was engaging Vitokh, Ovaius placed a shot at the leg of the battlesuit. The shot was not powerful enough to severe the leg, but did disintergrated the stabilizers on it, forcing the battlesuit on one knee and exposing it to attack. The deathmark repeated this process with the other one before it could turn completely to engage him, leaving both battlesuits venerable for Aethilas or other necrons nearby to finish off.
Airial bombardment ripped through the ground, demolishing the ground where the already wrecked destroyers lay. Tohltek immediately looked up and began calculating the trajectory of the other impending rounds, they were close, much too close. Without a word Tohltek turned quickly and began darting away from the area. The remaining destroyer was not as lucky. The moment the round impacted the soldier vaporized completely as the ion shockwaves bathed the area in static. Tohltek felt the wave coming and calculating its range knew he couldn't make it in time. He turned slowly and let the wave bathe him in electromagnetic pulses, frying his circuitry. In the moments of pain that flashed before Tohltek's vision, he felt a warm and strange sense of peace that he had not felt in his entire life. In moments he fell from the air and landed on the ground roughly, his body smoking as nothing but the wind moved. (OOC: He wont die, but when he returns he will be different.)
