*Orbital Forces....* Lord Ythak thought to himself and nodded, sending 3 Destroyers from the Tomb World towards the position of Tohltek and Ovaius, letting both know about the incoming reinforcements while ordering remotely the Tomb to concentrate the Generators towards their space ships as they will require them soon.... Seeing also thanks of his Deathmark the whole battlefield he quickly calculated the situation and nodded to himself, his strategy shall not fail.... And just as he thought so the Monolith Deployed on the west side of the Tau, shooting concentrated fire on armored targets while Warriors were coming forth it's portals along with Flayed ones, marching united into the city-fortress after the Monolith blew up the gates.
Receiving... Launching Awakening Protocol... The stasis-crypt opened slowly and awhirled a lot of dust. A green glow emitted through the dust and there he rose, Aethilas, finally awake from so many millenia of slumber. He still couldn't really thrust his vision, but soon accustomed with the sorroundings. The amulet was still around his neck and the Aeonstave by his side. He felt relieved that he and his accomplishments were still untouched and unharmed. Aethilas took a look around and saw the big and dark entirety of the tomb with a huge amount of other stasis-crypts with a single light emitting from above. The ceiling must've been collapsed through time and decay or maybe even enemies. He approached the hole cautiously, readying his staff for intruders. While he moved slowly towards the light, he occasionly looked over the other stasis-crypts and noticed the crypt of the Deathmark that was following his orders in the War in Heaven. No crypt showed any vital signs. The closer he came to the hole the clearer he heard the noise of battle. The noise of Gauss weapons and moving necron transporters and other unknown weaponry. He finally managed to get to the surface of the planet and was immediately engaged into battle. In the last splitsecond Aethilas repelled the fire with a time cloak and started dealing lethal damage with telekinetic blows so hard that it instantly broke the neck of the tau firing at him. Aethilas moved forward to meet the Overlord.
'Organics were such fragile creatures.' Tohltek thought to himself as he began cleaning up the remaining wounded. Not one of the survives begged for mercy, or even fled, it was as if they were aware of their impending doom. By the time the reinforcements arrived, all that remained of the strike team were blackened marks on the ground. Tohltek slowly turned towards the new additions and nodded, he could use the reinforcements to deal with the greater numbers that were sure to come. These organics always came in greater and greater numbers, like rodents. Without a word Tohltek and his entourage began hovering off towards marker in their HUD.
The enemy on the top of the walls sighted the ghost arks as they made their approach. They immediately began to fire their long guns. Pulses of blue spat from the end. They struck the ghost ark closest to the wall but were deflected by its quantum shielding. After a few minutes a bigger, mechanical warrior came. It raised it's cannon and fired. A thick blue lance tore from the cannon. It struck the closest ghost ark in the engine. The ghost ark's quantum shield was unprepared for the force of this laser. It fell to the ground and slid straight into the wall, bursting through in a volley of gauss blasts as it approached. The necrons had breached the wall. Vitokh looked through the hole in the wall as the ark glided swiftly towards it. The enemy was already taking casualties from the warriors that dragged themselves from the downed ark, their armour unable to withstand the green energies. Soon the immortals were through, closely followed by the lychguard and cryptek. "Destroy them all!" Shouted Vitokh. A hopeful alien warrior took a shot at vitokh, but the blast bounced back off his shield, hitting the alien in its leg. Vitokh walked towards the alien, it was trying to drag itself away in fear. Vitokh cut into its chest with his sword. He looked up to see his warriors moving slowly through the defenders. Some had been lost, but they were easy to replace. Vitokh crashed into the enemy, eager to spill their blood for his lord.
Zytrex jumped off of the Ark's holding and crouched on the hard land. He fed the Eldritch lance with energies as he rose to his full mighty height. Several of the primitive hostiles were firing their weapons at him, hoping to down this new metallic horror before it could reap more death among them. How pitiful are these beings? The Cryptek asked himself as he raised his staff with both hands and released a steady stream of gauss energy from its tip, cutting through the aggressors and ending their pitiful lives. He researched his surroundings - finding himself in the middle of a burning battlefield; Gauss cannons barked through the air only to be answered by a line of plasma weaponry, whose wielders were even now being slaughtered by Vitokh the Lychguard. Behind his powerful frame marched a substantial force of Necron warriors and Immortals. And Vitokh's warrior brethren, the rest of the Lychguard. Vitokh was certainly enjoying himself, and no wonder, for he had not fought against anything for a long time. Zytrex also felt several other presences on the battlefield. Aethilas, an old friend from a long time. Tohltek, a skilled warrior. And Ovaius, the Deathmark, somewhere... His presence was hard to pinpoint. As he turned around something large descended from the sky before him. One of the battlesuits he had seen. This would be a worthy one to examine and learn from, he thought whilst preparing for ranged combat in close range.
Ovaius continued to observe the battle at the top of the mountain, taking a few shots at defensive positions whenever the necron assault halted. He just picked off another of the bigger battlesuits when he noticed a red mark on his disintergrater. Before he could find out the source of this light, an energy disturbance alerted him. He looked up an saw an orb of blue light hovering hundreds of kilometers above him. Never having the chance of even warning the necron forces, he slipped into another dimension as an Ion Cannon from an orbiting tau ship fired directly on his position. While the Deathmark escaped the strike, an entire side of the mountain collapsed on the tunnels below, caving in half the exits and hindering the deployment of forces from those entrances to the tomb that were not buried. Ovaius materializes again at the base of the mountain's northside and immediately relayed a message to his lord, as well as any nearby forces warning of the artillery strike, as another orb of blue light appeared above the mountain. The fortunate effect was that the tombs below were exposed, allowing more necron troops to pour out on to the mountain (actually a massive necron architecture) at will.
The first necron he saw was Zytrex, a Cryptek he knew since he started his studies. He approached him with a steady pace and just asked right away: "What's the status of our troops?". Aethilas remained silent for a moment and then continued, already knowing what Zytrex intended with the Tau corpse: "Do you really think those pitiful creatures are even worth studying? Hm...on the other hand, you can never be cautious enough. How many are they?" In the same moment he saw a necron monolith that was already destroying buildings of this alien race and several necron transporters passing by. "Already at war, huh?", said Aethilas quietly to himself.
OOC: Overview of ppl (would like if it would be added in post #1 too): Necron Tombworld of Lord Ythak (no name yet): Lord Ythak - Urian Velos - Necronlord Tohltek - Strazon - Heavy Destroyer Ovaius - Wandering Jester - Deathmark Vitokh - Gladius - Lychguard Zytrex - IngZyver - Cryptek (Plasmancer) Aethilas - Devaroth - Cryptek (Chronomancer) OOC: necron tombworlds are far in south in comparison to where the Tau City-Fortress is and the Necronlord is attacking it from north, so it could be quite far lol ; just team up with the Lychguard and kick some Blue-Skin-Butt "Impressive." The Lord replies to his Deathmark about the Tau weaponry. *Time to take the fight to the stars....* he thought and a mental command ordered the first resurrected ships to fly straight into sky, them maneuvering through the tombs to the still free exits and then finally headed for space, shooting Orcas and Mantas alike apart as they were heading for the main ships. While the concentrated fire was starting to take the Heavy Destroyer apart 3 regular Destroyers joined his ranks and started fire upon their enemies. "Ovaius.... Dispose of the leader if you still have the chance..." He ordered as his Staff of Light glowed bright and emit a Gauss Blast upon a Sky Ray from behind, disabling it so that his second hit could destroy it while his army embarked from his Ghost Ark, a small but efficient strike force, full of Immortals save for a single Lychguard, they all starting to destroy all Reserve Forces of the unknown enemy who took their planet. OOC: Monolith is in the West just FYI and you come from the South / South-East The Riptide Pilot growled within his suit as he fired upon the Leader (Vitokh) of the enemy forces. "CONCENTRATE FIRE ON THE LEADERS!" The Commander ordered, finally being supported by his 3 Riptide Elite Guard, trying with all effort to stop these mechanical warriors which were few but slaughtered his army. *So this is what happened to Kais....* is what he thought while shooting a rocket salvo upon the Mechanical Soldier with the Staff (Zytrex) In the meanwhile the Flayed ones slaughtered every civilian, while the Necron Warriors marched into the heart of the Fortress, the Monolith destroying buildings and walls as it floated into the Fortress, planning to move into the center to truly make an all-round attack. The troops in the East pleased Lord Ythak as much as every other movement as they started to break the stalemate and started to push the defenders back into their fortress which shall be their grave. "Destroy them, my subjects.... Take the world back in the name of your Lord! Take back the world that is YOURS!" He transmitted into every single Necrontyr, letting them know that he respects and values every single of them, no matter what... He would never be like his prior Lord he had brought to fall with the help of those which make him succeed once again.
Ovaius signaled outward and an ark landed beside him, full of necron warriors on the way to the battlefield. He got on and just as the ark heads for the battle he begins scanning for the enemy commander once more. He searches the for tell tale sign of the specialized battlesuit across the battlefield when someone caught his sensor. A lone, lightly armored organic was directing the strongest of the forces near the eastern line. The ethereal motivated the troops animatedly, and the tau forces around him were actually pushing the endless green and steel tide back. The deathmark places his sign above the blue alien, and lifts his weapon. One second the ethereal was rallying the tau to victory, the next a disappating green mist replaced the space that he had occupied.
