OOC: Aye forgot this almost! *lets post something!* The Tau Commander smirked as his faked double was stolen as he began to charge what seemed as a support unit behind the main convoy. "TAKE THE MOUNTAINS DOWN, BURRY THEM!" The 3 Sky Rays behind him started to shoot at the main mountain, aiming to release rocks to crush the Necron army beneath that attacked his main convoy. 10 XV-88 Broadside Cruisers fired on extreme range upon the Flayed ones and Immortals which were the main cause for the army to fail. Drone Harbingers released Gun Drones which emerged fast and rushed into the combat zone, gaining attention of the Necron as they hurried past them, shooting in between the Necrons to cause confusion and casualties against eachother. "The Time has come, Barracudas air strike!" He yelled as the Sky Rays and now joined Hammerheads kept their barrages up against the mountain, also next to Ovaius, 2 Deathmarks had fallen out of nowhere as several Pathfinders aimed with their Railguns upon them. And just then Barracudas closed in, which had been the initial deployment force for the main army, shooting all they got upon the Necron army that was busy destroying the released Drones. 'You can play all you want with my dummy, but you will never get me.' The Tau Commander thought as he narrowed his eyes on the top of the mountain as if looking Ovaius directly in the eyes. He had still a few thousand Fire Warriors, 2 Riptides, at least 5 XV-8 Crisis suits and several specialist teams and tanks, the fight would be not that easy for the cursed Mechanical butchers. On the eastfront the attack shifted from full-scale attack to a retreat, all the Tau Warriors in unison suddenly running back where they came from, just as they gained the upper-hand against the Necrons which were guarding the fortress. Lord Ythak observed the fights well thanks of the live feed of Ovaius and his holomap but was a bit suspicious. 'Why would they retreat now...' He thought and shook his head. "Vitokh, Zytrex! Counter-Attack, destroy them as they run, but beware of traps." The necronlord fed into their minds as he was more concerned about the enemy ships which were outnumbering his fleet and were obliterating Ovaius' designated group, at least the Monolith Phalanx finally arrived. To aid his loyal and talented Deathmark he ordered all of his ships to take down the enemy aircrafts. Then he raised from his throne and stepped through a fresh created portal, coming out of one of the Monoliths that came to Ovaius' aid, them now also starting to spit more Immortals and Warriors out. "Ovaius, I have arrived on the battlefield to lead our troops against these Invaders." He announced himself and stepped forth, with an army of Warriors and Immolators behind him and some Destroyers guarding his sides.
If Ovaius could still smile, this would be the moment for it. As he gazed emotionlessly at the tau onslaught, he sends a single order out to his troops. Almost immediately the fallen necrons were teleporting back to the crypts. Those units that could phase out did, and within an hour nearly every necron force on the northern front were either destroyed or had disappeared. Ovaius himself quickly shot the impostor in front of him and phased out, but not before sending a message to Lord Ythak that all was under control. The tau commander barely had time to duck as a green shot disintegrated the fire warriors next to him. The single shot went through one warrior into the other, killing them both. The pathfinders immediately traced the shot and placed a barrage of missiles down on its origin, only to have another one of their number impaled by cold metal claws that disappeared as soon as they exited their victim's bodies. As the ground forces traversed over the boulder covered battlefield, they realized too late that the rockslides had not killed all of the necron ambushers. Hundreds of skirmishes erupted as the frayed one proved even more resilient than the Necrons had predicted, digging their way out of the earth where even their sane brothers couldn't and lacerating everything within reach. The enemy armor vehicles couldn't fire at the enemy either; they were so closely intertwined with their own infantry that shooting at the necrons would kill more tau than the enemy. The Crisis suits were in motion now, but they were too late. Within seconds of aiming their massive armaments towards the visible enemies, dozens of deathmark shots went through their armor's joints, taking down the great goliaths. The Tau fleet overhead hesitated, knowing that they can obliterate the enemies below with their bombardment, but would also destroy their own army without an organized retreat first. Ovaius observed all this from the cover of a fallen crisis suit, his weapon trained on the tau commander and his retinue, patiently waiting for a clean shot to take out his main target.
OOC; Slowly starting to think that we're moving pretty damn slowly. And sorry for not posting in a while. Zytrex listened and gave a slight nod. The order was clear as it could be: eliminate the escaping Tau forces. From his position he could analyse the retreating mass of soldiers. They hid their disciplined "retreat" well enough behind a mask of feint screams and wails. This could very well a be a trap of sorts, but that did not matter in his eyes. With his body fully healed and prepped for war, he could feel faint flickers of electricity as ancient veins of power were being activated - it felt like several floodgates being opened at once. The energies flowed through his body like snakes, settling near his arms and eye. The staff had also been repaired to some extend and it too was given a massive power surge to empower its already lethal might. "I shall burn them alive!" Zytrex, a Harbringer of Destruction from an age long past, roared. He wanted to - no - he needed to release the power he had woken.
OOC: prob is that we lack active players and such. Probably there was never much hope, but I will do my best to keep it alive. Just keep in mind I got my whole valentine's day planned out xD
OOC: No problem, if nothing else works we can slowly start walking towards the end... With long strides... Okay fast then
But before he could so just that, suddenly a large crack in the crust split open. Out of it crawled flayed ones, and hundreds of Tau were torn to pieces as the diseased Necrons fought to satiate their endless hunger. The tau fought bravely, and the Flayed Ones retreated back to were they once came. The Tau's wits broken, they fled in all directions to flee this world of slaughter that they had foolishly tried to win over. They began to realize that they were condemned to death.
OOC: will make a new GM post soon ; also I assume you play as a flayed one then ^^ (though they have no real own mind / brain)
