honourable thought pattern there think ill helps ya's out in any campaigns the Myriad advances towards
It'll always be 5 active yet half-arsed Space Marine guilds for every single successful Eldar guild though. MUH SPUHS MUHRENS
Only because LSM and CSM have almost identical models & animations + have the bigger fan-base. It's just a matter of time anyway.
Well they've specifically said that NOTHING is being worked on for Xenos at the moment. I don't really blame them for taking on the easier task first. It means they'll get a feel for everything and have everything just so, then they can more effectively create variations of that for us Xenos, keeping in mind that Orks will probably feel closer to Space Marines than Eldar will.. Either way, they'll get around to us eventually and then we can tell them they're doing it ALL wrong.. Silly Power Armour fanatics^^
They have about a year left to develop the game and haven't started working on the Xeno factions yet? That's a bit worrying. It's still not a good idea to leave the other factions out. A lot of the streams (before I stopped watching them, anyway) were pushing a Space Marine centered narrative. They're mostly talking about the Space Marines and gameplay as Space Marines. The exclusion of the Xeno factions baffles me especially since they want to push this 'Free to Waaagh' model. Furthermore; we've already seen gameplay from a Space Marine perspective in other games already. You'd think it to be more interesting to push a Xeno perspective to differentiate from other games and show that there's more to it than just Space Marines. I'd be very interested in seeing them portray Eldar gameplay, solely because it'd involve exotic, high rate of fire, no recoil weaponry. A novel concept rarely used in games. Doesn't help that the trailer portrayed Eldar weaponry wrong already, something I think they'd want to dispel before the Eldar playerbase becomes disenchanted (I've observed less blind faith in Behaviour from potential Eldar and Ork players than from potential Space Marine and Chaos Space Marine players, for instance).
You are not getting the principle of rotating focus. Imagine like playing DoW1 Dark Crusade or Soulstorm. If you play Blood Ravens, everything about them (this phase we in now). Then the next playthrough you are like "let's play Eldar!" And then you experience all the Eldar stuff. Yes at the moment it kinda sucks for us. But on the contrary once they get to Eldar, there will be livestreams about nothing BUT Eldar. We will get to know ALL of it. Then no more Space Marine bla bla; only the Xenos. You guys are just being impatient considering how early in production we are. Of course it's all Imperium & Chaos at the moment, that's probably what started the whole Arkhona going silent crap (story PoV). So just relax and wait until the Eldar stand in the spotlight.
I refuse to believe that Behaviour's development process is based on the story. The reason they're developing Space Marines first is likely due to fans being more familliar with them and them being more recognisable to people who have had a fleeting interest in 40k. Not "because Chaos and the Imperium went to Arkhona first". The "they're early in production" excuse is being pulled a lot, so I'll remind you that EC is slated to be released "late 2015". Behaviour has just a year left for development and they're still working with grey boxes and two identical half-factions. Progress isn't as great as this community appears to be claiming. Eldar aren't likely to stand in the spotlight. It's 40k, big burly man in over-the-top exo-suits are the primary interest of its fanbase.
Weren't the beta scheduled to be released late 2015, and the game somewhere in the first half of 2016? I was certain I read that somewhere a long long time ago.
