Hi guys just wanted to drop the names of my 4 toons (1Main, 3alts, as usual) for EC follow by a brief description on why the name, feel free to add to it if you think you know more, lorewise, as I consider myself a fan of W40K but not a loremaster:

Lord Nihltos (Ultramarines) : The name is the short version of a very well known necromancer for all those Diablo fans out there, I added the Lord as I created is own alt story in my head ending with him been a powerful necromancer (not the spineless sorcerer they portrait in the game).

Enhey (Ulthwé): The name of my future daughter, simple.

Nihlathak (Black Legion): The full version of the name that I use in forums and whatnot. Same story, Necromancer, Diab lo 2, Underused character.

Goffboz Minluk (Goff): I'm personally proud of the wordplay I manage to get in this one. Like it?

Am I the only one still annoyed by the word "toon" being used to refer to characters?

Too be honest I've never seen it be used in that way before this thread. I just simply refer to them as characters.

I've heard the terms Toon, Char, Character, Avatar, Actor (Wut?), and so on. It's all old hat at this point.


My own names:

Tureil Azkaellos: Blood Angel. It simply came to me and I liked its ring.

Erubal Jubek: Word Bearer. This one took some thinking. I looked up a couple word bearer's names and tried to make one that sounded similar. I wanted my little sociopath to fit in with his new friends.

Ghrazghkull Tinstompa: This is, naturally, my Eldar. Wait. No. Ork. He does orky things. Like stomp tin-plated gits.

There's no real history or rhyme to them. I just found things I liked and spat them onto the monitor.

Erubal Jubek reminds me of Jubal of Hellebore

Used this name since Ultima Online so I'ma just stick with it

I have one character loaded out will all my RP

Bossaroo: a deathskull and is carry a bunch of items so yea, waaagh!

I've got 4 characters, one of each race, and have decided to name them after something important to that race's history or culture, rather than a roleplay character name.

My Eldar is called 'Exarch', my Space Marine is called 'Codex', my Chaos Marine is called 'Istvaan' and my Ork is called 'Goldtoof'.

Expect to make new names given the naming policy that will be there for EC, lol. My chars so far:

Urian Velos - Ultramarine

Loreth Helil - Ulthwe

Is there some tittle I should add to my Eldar character to make it sound more imposing?

I don't know nothing about Eldars.

Any advice from Eldar fans?
