I don't really enjoy planetside 2 personally, but I tried it out and it's what alot of people are making comparisons to. Hopefully the devs listen about this. Looking around at the other threads, seeing that Tzeentch is ahead of khorne by one or two votes in popularity, and that around 32% of people want Thousand Sons as the last chapter, I'd hope it's pretty obvious what we want as a collective group...
It is the will of Tzeentch. Nothing can stop us! Anyways, if they don't I will just color myself a Thousand Son and become a sorcerer. Although I think Alpha Legion is catching up in the polls.
I would as well, although I've been hearing that you can't customize colors outside of your legion. I don't know, I'll have to check the thread again. Alpha legion was catching up, then 1k sons pulled in the lead again, so It could be they've managed to catch up. I read that they will be adding specialty units post release, so if they aren't there right away, I might just wait til the Thousand sons are playable, and see how they managed to handle the whole Sorcerer/Rubric marine thing.
For everyone that wants Thousand Sons as a playable warband are you imagining what gameplay would be like? The majority of players would be Rubric Marines who literally cannot do ANYTHING without a sorceror willing it. Nothing, not even lift a finger against the enemy. Theres a few different ways that people playing as rubric marines would go against the lore. Are you all okay with that or do you think theres another way? I love Thousand Sons, theyre tied for my favorite chaos legion but personally id rather see them in game acting how they should which is how the lore depicts them. Meaning id rather see them as NPC allies only.
What about just playing as a sorceror who was is a Thousand Sons but is currently working with the Word Bearers and is wearing their armor since its his temporary command. Its happened before.
I'd rather not wear another chapter's armor if I'm in the Thousand Sons. Thousand sons armor looks better IMO, and I'm not a fan of the Word Bearers in the first place. The whole idea of the Thousand Sons armor is that it's iconic and very noticeable, and sets its sorcerers as a higher caliber than the standard sorcerer. Personally, I'd rather have Thousand Sons for their sorcerers, and I know it's been said before, but maybe Rubrics as a "pet" when you get high enough level, as that's essentially what they are. However, all that is required is a sorcerer. So in theory, they could be troop choices when a Sorcerer is in the area.
