My Idea For An Ork Fing!

Good point with the conditions to be competitive. But otherwise, the waaagh! mechanic it's interesting for ork players, both in background as gameplay
  2. I really like the idea of building up WAAAGH!!! energy as stuff gets killed, like anything will need play testing and balancing but in principle I really like this idea

I think this one needs to be an area buff for a commander or such kind of a hero/elite unit. The mob already has WAAGH

A WAAAGH! button. Like Chivalry's warcry button. Pressing it would have no effect, but if a series of players press that button, then an increasing buff could start showing up. One player yells, so another will notice this and yell too. Eventually a bunch of players would. It should have a cooldown though, so it would be timed well.

Relatively easy too, if most players know when to use it.

I like the idea, but as an independent "rage" mechanic, not as a mandatory faction wide change. I tend to dislike anything that makes my performance dependent on other people, and I really dislike having my performance dictated by the popularity of my faction. So I'm with Gorerot on this.

A yell button with a cooldown would be the most useful probably at the right moment, being during the final push. Hell, there could be a buildup before it's usable as a WAAAGH!.

I don't know, the most important thing is that Orks don't get made too weak in comparison to Space Marines or the rest, they need to have competitive wargear and at least health and melee damage.

Maybe a Banzai mechanic similar to Red Orchestra/Rising Storm 2?
IE: As a Japanese soldier, you can Sprint+Melee to create a banzai effect (Charging into battle screaming warshouts). This effect gives you slight health regen (minor wounds seal up and heal), increases your speed (while reducing stamina costs) and heavily suppresses the enemy(In game represented by massive sway added to current wep).

Note, the more Japanese charging at once, the more powerful the Banzai effect.

With a bit of tweaking could be something to get the boyz into combat and with reduced casualties.
  8. I'm of the mindset that gameplay shouldn't hinder if you play alone. I'm with you on that. But I've got another idea that's more in tune with the group/guild mechanics.

What if a Guild Master - our own warboss - decides to make a full Waaagh!, which kicks off a full crusade type of mode with the Orks in raid/group? The map could be a determining factor of where the Waaagh! goes, and we could place specific iconography to determine targets. That is when this buff could come into full effect. Take it away from everyone when you're solo, but make it an overarching plus of being within a warband. Even if they don't input the bar mechanic, they could put a group wide buff.

This could also be drawn with parallels in all factions. The SM get Fervor/Faith, the CSM get Favor to their gods, and the Eldar get Rune energy.

If yer say'n that they're gonna run an' hide from dah Orkz, then I don't see what's wrong. They can hide, we'll take their base, vehicle ports, and even their pointy ears before they know what green mass hit them.
