Hey everyone! So... I have something different for everyone today. For a few months, I've been working pretty heavily on a Dark Eldar Incubus cosplay. It's a stylized version, and a collaboration inspired by many concept arts for the Incubus. It's been a labor of love, and a project I cannot wait to finish. So, without further ado, let's get to it! This is a collab of my armor so far! Leg greaves, thigh armor, chest armor, back armor, trophy racks, shoulders, arm guards, bracers. The back armor has neodymium magnets to allow my trophy racks to be attached and detached for ease of transportation. The bracers in the above photo are actually soon to be replaced by this work in progress... Inspired by page 20 of the 7th edition Dark Eldar codex, that dude's bracers are sooo brutal. I had to scale it down to be less dangerous to others, and to fit my suit's aesthetic. Overall though, the ferocity and practicality were kept, and these are undergoing detail work. I'll have photos of the finished product soon! Limited to 2 photos, 2nd post incoming!
And here we have my biggest achievement thus far, and THE iconic piece of the Incubi... the helmet. This was soon after finishing the ears, and before smoothing out the final product. Which, with some white paint primer called Gesso, became this. After sanding, the Gesso really cleaned this piece up! It will be undergoing painting very soon, and the color scheme is going to be preeeettty crazy. I really hope you guys like this! I have a lot of photos of everything so far. I'm also working on my girlfriend's female Archon cosplay... if you want more pictures, ask questions, anything, just let me know!
Hmmph, gud stuff laddy. Kinda interested ta see where dis 'ere cos play goes frum 'ere! 'Avenet see too many Dark Eldar cos play deze dayz.
Dark Eldar cosplay with actual clothes/armour? You have my interest at this highly unusual way of being Dark Eldar. ...uh, I mean.... I love that helmet. For questions, I have one: Is there a klaive involved? An incubus looks imposing even without a weapon, but I feel like they could feel a bit insecure without their klaives. More pictures are always nice, although I don't think that there is need for more if they are just five different angles of the same thing. EDIT: Also one thing to note, there shouldn't be a 2-picture limit per post anymore (...unless I am remembering things wrong...?)
Thanks everybody! And yeah, a Klaive will absolutely be involved haha. It may be demi-klaives, as I'm doing a Klaivex with my girlfriend's female Archon cosplay. If I do demi-klaives, they'll be functional and attach/detach as well . As for other pictures, you're correct about the angles hahaha. So I will spare everyone =P. Glad you all like it so far!
Thanks a ton man! I'm glad you love it! I'm actually in town working on grabbing supplies to get the armor attachable to my under suit, as well as paints! Should have a lot of updates soon on all that
Whoa man! Been wanting to make a Dark Eldar cosplay for a while but lack the skill and discipline! Unlike you! Looking very, very awesome indeed!
