More than one loadout per class?

Discussion in 'Ask the Team' started by Vorn, May 17, 2016.

  1. Is there a way for example, to create two Devastator load outs, one with a MeltaGun and another with a LasCannon?
That way, depending on the map I can change my load out.
Problem is that the game is only allowing me to create and save only one load out per class
  2. you can change the class of each loadout

right under the loudout point bar is a CLASS button
    there you can change it
  3. I meant to say 3 load outs not 2.

you can change class in all the custom loadout.
  5. you can make all loadouts devastator ones if you like to
for more you would have to make another char i guess or wait until they improve this loadout system
  6. So I cannot create 3 Dec class load outs - LasCannon, Dev, and Melta to use and change if the map is more suited for one than the other?
  7. You get 5 options, these can be any class, any weapon you like. You need to go to select the class and change it to what you want. So thats loadouts, edit, class, then pick the one you want.
  8. ah ok i think now i understand what you want
you would like to have 1 Dev loadout but exchangeable as you need it right?

if i remember right the plan is that you can pick some of your prepared loadouts to take into the match at launch

so its planed but corrently not possible
  9. They should use just a System like in Battlefield to Change the Equipment of any class during the battle as needed. To many Choices for classes and Situations and just 5 Loadouts, way to less if u ask me.

The biggest problem with the Load-Out system limitation is that it is only a mechanic that works for a match-based game. When/if the game goes open world the LO limitations would have to be removed unless the game forces a pop-up to appear that makes you choose load-outs when you enter within a certain range of battle zones.
Needing to be removed in that state means that it is a mechanic that would simply have been a waste of time and resources as it was ultimately thrown away.

What bE would do if they are intelligent is allow players to customize their Load-Out at any time the way Planetside 2 does. While it does allow players greater personal versatility in each battle(and thus allows them to get far greater enjoyment out of the game) so they aren't as dependent on teammates to make up for weaknesses in the team, this is actually nothing but a good thing that only improves the game's enjoyment and fun.

Exactly. Games like Battlefield and Planetside 2 use this method because they know it is the best one. Putting Load-Out limitations in a large scale game like EC is supposed to be does nothing but cause aggravation when one player is forced to take certain load-outs at the expense of others because they do(or don't) know that their allies don't have the proper load-out to fill whatever hole/s exist/s in the group.
