I started up a Mercs Warband."Legion of the Lost"...I kinda like it considering the environment. How does the Chaos folk play?Mercs go for full versatility with a little to none magic support.
you start out with a magic user as your leader and the only spell they have at first or at least for me is a buff called weapons of destruction. What I usually do is have my tougher guys called dark souls engaged in combat and use my leader to buff them so they can overwhelm most things. you won't be using ranged weapons very often or at least I don't and you get mutations for your hero for instance one of my guys have two faces so he can't wear helmets and another has a giant eye on his chest so he can't wear armor. I'd love to tell you more but its kind of hard for me to explain my strategies.
Figures as soon as I start to feel confident in my strategies my warband and gets wrecked by a mercenary warband and with a ogre and now my leader is missing an eye and two of my dark souls have severe brain damage making them have to pass a stupidity test to even move and I lost quite a bit of my equipment. *Sigh* Mordheim is a cruel mistress my friends.
This sounds like game with difficulty from 90's. From everything I'm reading about the game I want it more and more. Turn based tactical game with persistent effects between missions. This sounds too much good to be true, there must be a catch.
