That and just because they have a similar symbol doesn't make them the same group these guys are after actual equality and freedom from the imperium but unfortunately some of them turned to chaos and all the shit hit all the fans which then exploded creating a civil war that did many many horrible things to the planet and it's people. Good intentions and all that.

Think I may borrow a symbol and hope I don't run into ancient world eaters.

Pretty sure the world eaters are too busy screaming and murdering everything they come across to figure out time travel so you're good to use whatever symbol you see fit.
