Spoiler Name of Leader: Abigail Vail Gender: Female Age: 26 Role: Commissar Equipment: artificer chainsword, bolt pistol, carapace armor Appearance: Vail stands at a rather unassuming 5’3, with fiery red hair and fair complexion, possibly due to her somewhat vague childhood of growing up in a Hive (which is never specified, cause it ain’t your business). Her small size is used to her advantage however, as she uses her speed, agility, and sheer will to live to her every advantage. She has a deep gash across her cheek which looks to have been fairly recent, and emerald eyes. She has the standard outfit of any Commissar, a large great coat (which no matter how many times I tried to get a new one, stayed a size two large) a cap and a fancy ol sash. History: It is believed that Vail came from a Hive, but which Hive is unknown. Hell, it isn’t even known from which segmentum she originates from. In the Schola her grades were barely above passing, the only places where she succeeded being melee combat and recreational sports… This managed to get her placed in a relatively unassuming position, in the rear guard with an artillery regiment on some backwater mining world that had a small Ork infestation. However thanks Vail’s astute vigilance (and great deal of paranoia on my part) she managed to figure out that a splinter fleet was likely to invade the unassuming world due to activity in nearby sectors and problems with communication in the Warp. As the invasion came underway, Vail once more proved her abilities, having the keen sense to lead a patrol on their flanks, where she discovered a rather large Tyranid force closing on the artillery position (I was actually trying to find a way to get the frak off that Emperor forsaken rock, but if it makes them happy to think that). This allowed the artillery regiment to redeploy in time to break the incoming Horde and save the planet. Vail was hailed as a hero, and was deigned to valuable to be sitting in some artillery regiment (much to my grief) and was placed on Sanctus, where an understrength regiment of Valhallan Ice Warriors were present, stationed to help suppress what was reported to be mild unrest (as always, the Administratum gives SHITE information). It seemed like a simple enough job, until all warp broke loose. Now Vail finds herself in her worst nightmare, fatal danger, and must gather the scattered remnants of the Valhallan 597th, or risk being cut down in the madness Personality: Vail is very odd for a Commissar in that she doesn’t lead through sheer terror and brute oppression. Rather she works to gain the trust and respect of her troops, so they fight with zeal for the Emperor! (and are less likely to ‘accidentally’ shoot me in the back during a fire fight.) She is generally considered to be laid back, and witty, but with an iron will to back it up. (an iron will to not die) She’s also quite fond of Tanna leaf tea, and Amasec. Warband Name: Valhallan 597th Composed of two seperate regiments that were forced together for being under strength, the 597th is a mixed regiment, composed of both men and women, a pretty rare occurence. There were major issues in mixing them as each resented the other. It was only after Vail arrived that she was able to restore order and turn them into a true regiment. Unfortunately right when this happened shit hit the fan. To avoid being overwhelmed, Vail had the regiment scatter in small groups to avoid being overwheled my the anarchy. Now that things have calmed down, Vail must gather whats left of the regiment and retake the Hive, at least to save her own skin. Faction: Imperial Remnants Henchmen: 1) Ari Griffin- Guardsman A solid soldier with great potential for leadership, Griffin is a level headed, tactical woman and a crack shot with her lasgun. She also enjoys a good game of tarot from time to time, much to Vail's joy. She has raven hair and purple eyes. a. Equipment- lasgun, shock maul, flak armor, deck of tarot cards 2) Ranald Detois- Guardsman Ranald is by all means a brawler, loving to get into wrestling matches, and is one of the few guardsmen to actually enjoy melee combat. He can be a loud mouthed asshole and sexist idiot, but he'll give his life for his squad, which Vail is quite happy about. And if he ever gets to out of hand, Griffin is more than happy to silence him with a quick kick to the groin. He's a large, muscular man with dark brown eyes and hair, and like every other Valhallan, pale as snow. a. Equipment- lasgun, chainsword, flak armor, harmonica 3) Jinxie- Guardsman While her nickname, Jinxie has been called this for so long that not even officers fully remember what her actual name is. She got the nickname some time ago in her company, known to be a complete clutz and get herself in precarious situations. Her most memorable moment was when she shot her grenade launcher, which hit a lamp post, bounced back towards her, and hit her square in the face. Amazingly, it was a dud. And even more amazingly to Vail, she was allowed to keep the damned thing. She has short, blonde hair and hazel eyes, with pale skin. a. Equipment- grenade launcher, las pistol, combat knife, flak armor, 4) Lenard Kolbe-Riot Trooper A riot trooper who had the good fortune to survive, Kolbe and his partner were fleeing for their lives when they stumbled into Vail's motley crew. A big man with a mean swing, Vail was happy to bring in someone to put between herself and the enemy. Blonde, blue eyes, dark skin. a. Equipment- riot shield, stun baton, riot armor 5) Ellen Perit- Riot Trooper Kolbe's partner, Ellen took a nasty hit to her leg in the riots, and only survived due to Kolbe dragging her away from the madness. Luckily they ran across a commissar who cared enough to give her medical treatement and get her back on her feet. Indebted, she will fight for Vail and charge against her enemies, so she doesn't have to. Brunette, dark skin, blue eyes a. Equipment- riot shield, stun baton, riot armor Specialist: Name- Anne Datchwald Role- Experienced Medicae Description- A native of Sanctus, Datchwald had been a member of the Sanctus PDF before anarchy broke out. By the time the flames had settled, the group had been cut down to but a few dozen PDF troopers. Broken and leaderless, Datchwald traveled with the group, trying to gather civilians to get them away from the worst of the fighting. This ended in tragedy however as they came across the path of a particularly nasty group of zealots. Somehow Datchwald survived, seeming to have been forgotten amidst the slaughter, but had to watch as her friends were mutilated and tortured in the most horrific ways. She assumed she would simply die in the gore of her old companions. Yet the Emperor seemed to have some mercy, and was saved by when Abigail Vail stumbled upon the gore spattered room. With nothing else to do but die, Datchwald joined up with the Valhallans, and maybe get some revenge along the way. Personality- A generally sarcastic and hostile person, Datchwald is described as having the worst bedside manner on Sanctus. Despite that she seemed to care about keeping her patients alive. Hero: Name- Gunner Farek Jurgen Role- Veteran/Aide Description- Found by Vail on her first deployment on a mining world, Jurgen was by all means a perfectly normal and unassuming guardsman. The only unique thing about him really Is his unnatural body odor, which could make an Ork even pause in disgust, or at least that's what Vail says. He has a scraggly light brown beard covering a myriad of rashes on his face and body. To top it all off, he's not the brightest flashlight in the regiment, and was largely shunned by his comrades. It was only by chance that Vail stumbled upon him during the Tyranid assault. He helped Vail scout the flank (when in reality I was getting the freak out of Istvaan) and was able to outrun the horde due to his uncanny abilities at driving like a madman. After this action, Jurgen was made the Commissars personal aide (most likely to get rid of the stench). Despite his unassuming manner, Jurgen has proved to be an invaluable ally and friend to Vail, his literal approach and absolute faith in her actions a great help to her attempts at self preservation, especially with his trusty melta at his side. He also is able to procure items whenever needed, and always seems to have some Tanna leaf tea for Vail at the ready. Equipment- Meltagun, las gun, chain axe, carapace armor, Tanna leaf tea. One of his greatest assets however is one not even the Commissar is aware of yet. He is a blank. Vehicle: Open-backed truck will add histories for them all later, hope it's ok that its kind of comedic

Stormtroopers are a hero unit so change that one and I'm not sure if I should let you have power armor from the start I know I didn't say anything against it but it seems a tad bit unfair to everyone else. As for the mutations you can have one major and them being a psyker is that one major mutation. As a possessed she will already be physically large and strong and I'm not to sure that she would need that power armor given that if she's injured it is likely that her flesh would just mutate the wound away. Heavy weapons the size of heavy bolters or bigger require two henchmen to use or a hero that is unusually large or strong could use them by themselves. As for vehicles the most I'll let you have is motorcycles or a single off road truck as anything bigger would have some serious issues getting through the city gates and traversing the crowded roads full of rubble from collapsed buildings and crashed vehicles. I guess a tank could do that to but I'm not letting you have a tank at start. Sure let me get to my computer and I can type up some basic information sorry for not giving you guys it out he first place but I really wanted to get this thread up yesterday so I wanted to just get the bare essentials. Perfectly fine if you read the unit descriptions this is not a one hundred percent super serious rp and goofy characters are perfectly fine Yours is perfectly fine the gills are more of an ascetic mutation so I'll allow you to have them and the extra legs.
Feel free to edit if you want maybe use the mutations to your advantage to make up for your lack of high quality gear. (Hint if they have three arms they can use three weapons and more weapons means more damage)

Well I was thinking of adding stranded eldar or maybe even a genestealer cult and I still have a couple more in the works.
Not even considering Dark Eldar!? If not running them, I'll wait for AdMech, either in general or as just the Skitarii.
The dark eldar are the stranded as I can't really think of a reason for craftworld eldar to be in the city. I could make something for the skitarii or mechanicus in general after all Sanctus is the capital of an industrial world. By the way I will be adding some basic info about sanctus and the planet it's (which is named Vastitas) on in the first post.
