Morally Grey/maybe Good Chaos Chapters

Thats not the take I took from that. Your guessing that Nurlge knows what she is doing vs just what is said, his main reason for her is to test his diseases on her to see how effective they are. He doesn't need her to whisper cures when he already controls it not killing everyone.

You have to remember that Nurgle and his minions see every pox, plague, pustule and general ailment as a literal gift. It's Santa Pox and his horrendously smelly elves. This is especially highlighted in the Beast of Nurgle who goes into battle like an over-excited puppy. No ill intent whatsoever, just trying to give people hugs and kisses. That all happen to be heavily acidic and virulent.
Plaguebearers aren't even warriors. They're like Nurgle's aides who are inconsistently called into the material realm to protect/help a champion of Nurgle.
    Tome of Decay, pg. 14:
" Though they have left their mortal selves behind, perhaps
a piece of their former existence lingers within them, for these
Tallymen invariably seek to fill their days with seemingly
mundane tasks, most of which involve seeking to impose some
kind of order in the chaos of their new home. Many tend
to his Garden, help usher other Plaguebearers into existence
like midwives, or keep catalogues of the diseases Nurgle has
created. Some even attempt the impossible task of keeping a
tally of the ever-changing number of Nurglings that populate
the Garden of Nurgle. It’s all rather odd behaviour for a
Daemon, when compared to the savage acts of Bloodletters
or the predations of Daemonettes, but it pleases Nurgle to see
his children doing as they wish, and a father’s love for his
children is best left simply admired, if not understood."

Well now, id expect that if he couldnt know of the whispers (which i doubt) he would still hear the rumors of them, he is an omnipotent god after all. At which point he could mess her up enough for her to be unable to do so, but he doesent. I feel he has a purpose for doing so.

But then again, its only a tale, which only like 1 craftworld speaks of.

Some craftworlds don't believe Isha survived at all, but it does explain quite a few things. Again it's left ambiguous, Eldar history is a lot of myth and legend, some of the things they say might not be literal.

Really need to get the Tome of Decay.
I heard id doesent state much more then the other books already stated before, but its always good to have more things to read about Papa Nurgle.

Yup like i said, lore states that one Craftworld still think she is living (Lugganath). The rest dont believe in it.

I like having it all grouped up in one convenient source book, don't have to go leafing through the Liber Chaotica or Lost and the Damned for my more esoteric information anymore.

Really, get all the Tomes. FF really outdid themselves when they put them together, and even if they don't focus on a god they tend to mention tidbits about their brothers in passing.
  10. No, it really isn't. The Imperium only as a whole cares about the tithe for their wars, and compliance to their rule. Corruption is rampant, nepotism, slavery, horrendous work conditions with huge quotas that they expect filled pretty much no matter the circumstance, until the day the factory collapses on top of you. Then, if you are still alive, you would be expected to find a new job. Corruption means more than just chaotic influence.

The Warp is an indiscernible stew of emotions, The Sea of Souls as it is called. Being able to tell just exactly what breed a daemon is an insurmountable task. They don't even share their name willingly, you think they are eager to share the source of their power?

What followers do is based primarily of books staring; the Gaurd, the Inquisition, Space Marines, etc, and often not particularly well done, just a quick ego stroke for Imperial fans. Better novels have character development and something better than a standard villain.

That said, 40k is a warzone, and even if they started a benevolent cult, it would still be ruthlessly exterminated by Imperial decree, thus undermining the planet around them is the only way they can hope to survive. The warp being what it is (a translucent environment of unformed emotions and screaming souls) as they delve deeper they go deeper to madness, usually overwhelming the common man as it takes a strong mind and will to embrace chaos proper.

But the reason you have mean and several other arguing against such a simplistic interpretation, is that most of Chaos development at this point is inferred. Their are examples of them acting like decent beings despite their methodology and purpose. In the Night Lords, the mortal crew is able to scrape by a livable existance, despite the fear and danger. The Red Corsairs have a functioning society, with people mutated or not can live a sort of regular existence in the warp. There is also the presence of dozens of undeveloped warbands that could act in a way that is morally neutral or bordering on benevolent, because such things can exist in the god's domain.

Such as Tzeentch. He offers power, the user decides how to use it. Within reason, someone could use their power for good, but Black Library prefers the arrogant power crazed sorcerer achitype. But Ahriman's getting some more character development soon. He was a pretty decent guy in Exile.

Moot? Just because you say so, doesn't make it so. The gods don't often make demands, so you cannot talk in absolutes in what their will and nature is. Thus is the continuing problem with this discussion, you wish to speak in absolutes when that's just not the way things are, but it does explain the narrow view of chaos.

I'm talking about on its foundation, the Emperor forced his vision on the galaxy. There was never a real choice, it was you will submit to his will, or your nation will be destroyed. If the Space Wolves or similar legion is called, your entire culture is destroyed, which could well be just because you were doing a fairly decent job at resisting compliance. He had a master plan, there was a reason. But those reasons were hidden behind deceit. For one, justiying the murder of religion on not wanting to strengthen chaos. Well, he had planets killed for holding onto their religions, which were based on truth, because it didn't fit his plans. So, in my view, the view of many Chaos practitioners, and others, this means at its very founding, the IoM was unjust and murderous. They don't simply get the moral high ground. There isn't any.

And finally, you missed the point of those rhetorical questions. BL is moving for a more nuanced and complex chaos faction, who still delves into the depths of pure evil, but also has dynamic characters and sub-factions. You were championing a simplified version where they are just evil bad guys, and everything they stand or stood for could be easily dismissed. Well, that's not something I want, nor is it the direction they are going with the lore.
4chan can't be used as a legitimate reference for anything.

Daemons are difficult to summon, and doing so will draw the attention of the Imperiums best killers. Using them as a horde requires you break the veil between dimensions, which I assure you (and Dark Apostle will show) is not an easy task. Thus, the resource discrepancy between the two is a very appropriate allegory. They have significantly less resources and are fighting a colossal war machine. You need to take their views out of the equation.
