No, I'm not. The difference between you and I is the fact my experience allows me to know that everybody is biased. Even me, and I don't need to hide it.
I take for instance this single post, how can that go past moderation when a mod is posting right after this ? This is my personal point of view, one could say the first sentence is ok, the second however is not helping at any stage and is doing nothing but showing this guy has nothing to do on a forum but wasting his time and the others people time by playing the smartass. For a second example if you're not convinced just look at the second paragraph of his first post in this thread, basically saying : "That's not an insult/ridiculiously offensive if I don't use calling words". People not able to keep civil in a forum should not be able to post in said forums. I have nothing against some salt and one or two name calling here and there, but this guy is not at his first try here. I'm sorry to say so but letting this kind of attitude go isn't good for anyone, including said guy posting.
Why are the Mods here? Clearly because they're masochists. I mean how else would you explain people who, for no pay, would volunteer their free time to trying to tame the cesspool that is a game forum when they could be doing quite possibly literally anything else that would be 100x more fun.
I just want them to stop letting the stickies get more than 5. If you have a shit ton people will ignore em.
What I have gathered from reading through this is the OP thinks consistent modding would be deleting any post that uses swear words and also if the statements can possibly be interpreted as offensive not just in direct insults and the like, but if the subtext of statements could subjectively be interpreted as condescending, rude, or insinuating in pretty much any way.
I think the mods do a good job, OP's question about the community manager and devs are pretty valid though.
They're only human. Men make plenty of mistakes, like allowing Eldar to exist for as long as they have. But it's reached the point where MAYBE we could use a few more moderators on the team, if only to ease the load of our current group of nerds so they're not making a stupid decision on their 40th reported post for the day.
