I find some of what you've said hard to believe. What I would like to believe is that because you (and some of the other mods) are not native English speakers, the more subtle and less obvious insults are unclear to you, whereas if a native English speaker were reading it they'd see them a mile off. I don't mean to offend and no doubt you speak English infinitely better than I German, but this would be my guess.
And yet you're the one confused by what is happening, so much so that you made a thread out of frustration, trying to call out the moderators for "inconsistency". At what point do you realize that the source of your problems is you? So now you're saying that the mods can't read English as well as you, which is why you feel they're doing an inconsistent job? Man, that feels like a throwback to something about English you said in another thread...rather hypocritical of you.
Let me try and clear some stuff up here. First off yes the Moderators here are only human and currently there are: Members: 44,205 Discussions: 24,611 With an average of 600+ members online at any given time and around 200 or so new posts a day. Currently there are only 8 Moderators for dealing with all this. I can PM anyone here a list of people who are now going to post in this thread once I am done here just because I am posting. We mods have a set of rules as well as the forum rules CoC that we follow and a lot of the moderation we do is behind the scenes work. Just ask anyone who has ever gotten a PM from me. I can assure you guys you would not want to see my inbox and how full it is. There are a lot of post I would love to be a bit more strict on and moderate them much more closely but any time I do you should see how angry people get at me. At this point i am pretty sure I have been called every name in the book and some have gone so far as to threaten to harm me over simply dealing with posts. I could care less what someone thinks about me over the internet but hey it is what it is. Unlike Valrak as an Eldar Moderator I need sleep and while I am up at 6 am EST each day some times it seems some of the more nasty posts get posted while I am sleeping and I have to deal with em once I wake up. Really comparably the amount of posts that are locked to the amount posted is quite small for these forums with only the truly bad posts getting deleted all together. When a Mod steps in its not because they are here to bully you, its the post has been reported and simply dealing with the offending posts isn't enough. But this said on average we get about 40 reports of posts a day and we have to make a judgement call on each and every one of these posts. Which means we have to not only read the post that was reported and what the report is saying the post is about but also read into the context of the posts before it and see. Some times sure its a simple task of player A called player B a dumb fuck and we will remove the post and issue a warning to player A. But some times its not so simple and it could be a veiled insult or even someone was offended by something that wasn't intended to be an insult and reported it. That's when we have to make a judgement call and we are all just human so yes we might make a mistake. We do get jumped on when we come in and tell people to chill or lock posts that are so far out of hand or off topic that there is no saving the post but that is part of what we expect to happen as moderators. Last but not least Katie. If you hear a boom you will know she didn't agree with what I said. Anyway our Community Manager is hard at work currently doing two roles. One her interactions with the community as seen in the live streams, she is also the ultimate judge, jury, and executioner for the forums. Any and all bans are up to her ultimate decision alone, and trust me when I say the list compared to the number of member's is probably one of the smallest lists on any forum. The second thing Katie is currently doing and is overwhelming her at the moment is she is helping the reports/support team in answering tickets. There is currently only one team doing this and they have to answer both tech support questions and deal with reports of cheating, insults, and so on. This takes a lot of time and work and its quite rare to see a Community Manager who dose this so ya that's one of the reasons she had to stop people from being able to PM her on the forums as she gets overwhelmed with reports there as well as all the tickets she has to handle from the Contact Us button. Wouldn`t EC be better if devs worked "right"? I was trying to refer to what is happening, not to what should be. And talking about what is happening I prefer them being "less active" then "too eager".

Not really Wiawyr. Reading and understanding are two very different things. Besides - you insulted someone on another thread for their grammatical errors made while writing English when you found their argument to be too difficult to deal with. It weakened your own argument if anything and personally I found it in bad taste. I would suggest that certain mods correct past mistakes or re-read threads. Or if they don't have the time or inclination, stop being a mod.
