Honestly on the board I moderate I could list the posters I've seen here that would have been banned a long time ago. Lot of the posts and threads would be gone too lol.
No, although it did stem from a post where you seem to be able to insult others while posts that insult you seem to disappear. Strange, no? How it's one rule for one and one rule for another? Your post above is yet another insult that you have thinly veiled.
This was not the point, the point of my previous post is that people have been angry and asking questions for a long time now. I'm not going into if it's reasonable to be angry at this situation or not, but when you see big part of your most active customer base going apeshit on your official forum that is huge part of your PR it's at least bit strange that we get almost no reaction. Random every now and then answers with generic "it's cool, don't worry about it" wont help, if I'm supposed to go along with this "well it's not finished but just you wait and don't worry about it " thing I expect more commitment to communicating with us at where we are. I don't have anything to add to the moderation part that was also part of my post. And honestly without any blame or hate, I would like to know what is Community Managers job description at bE, because I'm starting to think I have understood that totally wrong. Currently I see the lead UI designer and sound guy on these forums more than our community manager and I dont think that's how it's supposed to be.
And therein lies the rub, doesn't it? I tried to explain it using real world examples, one that should have hit very close to home in fact. Reflect for a moment on the posts about which you speak, their context, and the manner in which they convey their point; realization should come to you shortly thereafter. That's a whole other bucket of worms entirely. I'm not in any way saying people shouldn't be angry at the current situation; a lot of things are not where we hoped they would be or where they were promised to be. However, there is an art to directing your anger into less abrasive posts/questions that I feel was lost on the OP. I do agree that the community involvement feels lacking right now. I'm not sure what BE is getting at, but many people I know do not feel like valued customers at the moment. A tidbit worth considering is something that was posted in the "I made a patch, yay!!!!11!" thread: the devs don't view this as the primary/official point of communication with the players. The dev in question actually said the Steam forums were such; I was rather surprised by that myself.
When people will understand that "Salt and Rage" are only reflecting a "FRUSTRATION" and that this frustration is a feedback factor for the Devs. Mainly because only "Shitposting" can show frustration since "Stats" can't show any kind of emotion. This forum is going in full "Game of Throne" mode. Players trying to backstab each other in order to get access to the Balance Throne without any idea how balancing works.
Mods aren't paid. This is like holding a sign outside a food pantry that says the volunteers give more food to some people.

Mods are also not forced to be mods. If you are not willing to do what is asked of you then don't be a moderator. If I volunteer to that said food pantry and just sit around doing nothing I'd say you are allowed to call me out on that. Also a lot of this criticism is going directly at bE, not the mods. This is the level of moderation bE has approved on their forums, it's the supervisors job to keep things going how they want them to go.
