Is a fair review. I love the game but it needs to be better. I guess that in next week we will see if the balance, campaign system, wargear and other shynies will up this from a 5 to a 6.
Well... Yeah. It was never going to be what was originally envisioned. But this game is not complete in any way, shape or form. That is neither bad nor good. It is fact. That said? This is nowhere even REMOTELY close to the WORST Steam game I have ever purchased. AND it is not an Ubisoft title so by definition, it is better. I am still having fun with it.
Well, deathwing isn't exactly a pvp game, you also can't play as anything else then Dark Angel LSM. Its completely different ganre and if any game will lose its population to Deathwing, it'll be Vermintide, not EC. It doesn't work that way. Hardly any dev or publisher will interact with that kind of criticism, however its not ignored(unless its No mans sky in question) but actually worked on. Now, how long working to better the situation takes is another story.
I agree. The review was truthful, but didn't particularly indulge in mean-spirited trash-talking. They also kept it short and to the point and didn't ramble on about some of the stuff I personally would've found unavoidable to talk about. Yes, they gave EC low marks in every category, but EC has honestly earned those low marks in its current state.
It almost seems as if the reviewer was tired of the exhaustive list of things wrong with EC, that he just got to the point and listed his main gripes. I do find it interesting he hated the graphics though. I thought that was one of EC's more redeemable points.
Yeaahhh... no not really. Division has good (while simple) shooter mechanics. Lots of weapon variation in loot (better than EC). Better graphics. Better UI. Better AI. Pretty much better everything besides melee and setting.
