Like all his comments regarding MMO's and persistent worlds, he always says the same. It is very clear he has a different view on what a MMO is and what persistent world actually means to the majority of players historically.

It is the one thing that really grips my shit about him, it baffles me how he can be so wrong about something so fundamental, it's almost like he is denial.

"What you’re mentioning though is that some are more organized than other and let’s just say that the faction that was expected to have the smallest population turns out to be one of the most effective and coordinated in general."

Eldar players being better confirmed

Git gud is an argument now, suck it LSMs :p

    Hmm so:

But then he goes on to mention that this will only be in after Terminators and stuff. So potentially V2.0 Campaigns. Meaning v1.0 Campaigns will probably be very bare bones.

Otherwise more of the same spiel~

Yeah, the fact that a world map exists, but you cannot actually visit any of the territories does not qualify as a persistent world. Sure it is a fun dynamic for a lobby shooter, but a far stretch to be called an MMO.
  7. Well, same as always, we should wait and see what is going on this week

The first portion of Nathan's first answer made me cringe, the man is either delusional or just so damn stubborn he won't admit that he made a bad lobbyshooter when he was trying to make a persistent MMO.

It's insulting to other developer teams that actually managed to create an actual MMO game that is persistent.

Not to disagree with you, but I think MMO is just too broad loose a term. MMO doesn't have "Open World" attached to it. But really pressing the envelope that the players want bigger battles, in these "Open Territories" is huge.

I mean not to defend him, but clearly Natin believes that he has to bandaid the raw state of the game since launch by optimizing, balancing, and debugging the game and then adding Terminators as a treat, but like the vast majority of the Founders, I did not come here for Terminators. I came here to wipe the earth clean of hundreds if not thousands of players in a Relic. SM style combat sim that takes place over a decently large area where I can then plant my flag and scream praise to laughing, bloodthirsty Gods and see my conquest directly.

I did not come here for:

A clone of Hero's and Generals... Which their devs originally labeled as an MMO, and have since backed away from even though, on a technicality it may be, morally, it's not.

Same as EC currently. Though clearly Natin believes it's not only an MMO right now, it will become "More MMO" in the future. Well see. A year or 3 from now apperently...
