"proof of concept" is exactly what it sounds like; a small separated instance of stuff you show investors and publishers to give them an idea of what the product will look like. In the case of EC they most likely built that little map and that was all there was to it, with most stuff being placeholders
it must be the same build of the first pre alpha video but the graphic look a lot improved. not sure maybe the better resolution?
Absolutely blown away with the prototype Video keep up the great work Dev team you made an old 40K fan very happy this morning
Aye, it's the same as in this video (but with better rez / angle and longer): View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuVeZ8n4CAQ#t=210 I'm very excited about the pre-alpha build which Bill was talking about!
Looks great. I quite like the running animation, maybe a little loose - it doesn't look heavy - you had a real sense of weight in Space Marine. But that's just from viewing it, perhaps it works fine and feels great in your hands. we'll see.
I think we are going to get to know the game engine! Pre-alpha should be build on it. Also prototype/demo was a mock up just to show the idea. The engine it was built on doesn't matter as much.
Looks gr8 for demo, only thing that is a bit problematic are those huge skulls on jet pack they take too much space and kinda limit the view.
