I really want to see some eldar and ork work, i know is too early to see them implemented but at least the models or more info about the classes since we can see gameplay featuring SM and CSM.
Completely agree, this presented itself as a rather large nuisance, even in Space marine. As the close combat often resulted in looking like the two dueling marines were under the influence of a heretical substance, which made them unable to accurately judge the distance between their chainsword and the enemy. A possible solution to this problem is to maybe introduce a lock-on system similar to Dark souls, where the mere press of the right analog stick locks on to your enemy (if you are close enough to the enemy), and your character moves in a strafing manner, and because your character is locked on to the enemy, your attack direction is always consistent. This stops the close combat looking ridiculously clumsy. In my opinion I believe a lock-on system similar to Dark souls is needed more than even, especially due to the fact we know this game will feature a blocking mechanic -- and it's simply going to feel awkward blocking with the direction of the left stick/movement keys .
Is it feedback time? I'd have to sit down and watch it again but off the top of my head a few small nitpicks; 1; the jump packs are way too big, haha. The regular marine backpacks also look too large or the camera is emphasizing them too much somehow. It felt especially noticeable on the chaos marines 2; The muzzle flash and firing animations feel a bit anemic. It should look cooler to shoot your bolter at someone 3; When a player goes down it looks a bit wonky with the animations. He kind of just instantly goes into a downed animation and it looks a bit too abrupt I'll probably come up with more feedback later but I hope other people will start to post some of their own ideas and feedback as well
amazing work !!!!!! Love the flow of the game love the animations honestly i couldn't be happier with what I saw that may be due to the fact that I am a die hard fan of you guys.....YES I SAID IT !!!! IT'S OUT THERE I AM A DIE HARD FAN ......(Dear Emperor I never thought I would become such a monster as a die-hard ....but oh well it was a price I pay gladly for this game ....come on and take my soul/money) And yet there are a few concerns 1.It dose not feel like I have the mobility of a space marine I mean power armor + black carp = amazing mobility and strength /talking about the part of climbing the amazing op grey boxes with the words saying grey boxes (GOD I LOVE THE text on them honestly just made me lough) 2.Camera position a bit further back if you could the backpack obscures the vision giving the enemy player an advantage in close combat you loose sight of him in certain angles 3.Chaos marines they look a bit cartonish honestly they don't look like they are going to kill me maybe try to kiss me they are not as scary as I imagined them but oh well it's pre-alpha and I can understand that 4.Range/ Melee feels like at least to me that the assaults have the upper hand not saying balance or anything in that way just seems to me that the range unit will have a disadvantage hope that I am wrong in that regard 5.Effects a bit over the top for my tastes but I do enjoy them on the other hand I might just not be used to them That would be all of the things I got from it all in all amazing work keep it up and please get some new mics....or keep them a bit farther away ...it was rly good audio at some parts where the mics were further don't know why
My suggestion: The update text read, "Player D was killed by is own grenade." Who's? His? It's? Miss? Is? Lis? I love the rest of it though. Please keep it in. "Player A was blown up by Player Y." -> Can it read this instead: Player A was Annihilated/Eradicated/Desolated/ or Exterminated by Player Y? Can the word also apply to all explosions? I.e. Tanks, Grenades, Plasma Cannons, Orbital Lance, Nuclear Warheads, Cyclonic Torpedos, ect. Lastly: "Hold Space bar to "Bleed Faster". Can we just perform a 40k Seppuku instead? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seppuku Fantastic work as always though! I can't wait to see what's next! As an aside... I asked for mountains for terrain. It seems my request has been fulfilled. I only hope that map makes it all the way to the final product! I'm stoked!
Nice video (not mention graphics ofc - to many placeholders to make any conclusions), shows alot of features, but there is one thing I'm really concerned with. Way to slow. Slow running, slow flying, slow hitting... Not a last reason I really enjoyed Spacemarine game multiplayer that it wasn't too fast, but this one is much slower. Not really sure if it will improve gameplay expirience.
Keep in mind we havent seen the Eldar/Orks. It would perhaps justify the slower movement of the marines as to give the Eldar the speed advantage they will definitely need for flavor and balancing reasons.
