Nope, let me make it simple - your argument is basically that the weapons are OP to begin with; WRONG

They need FIVE very specific conditions to be OP and they are:

1)The stat that the weapon is heavily invested in is of use to the current combat condition.

2)The fart...er I mean player decided to invest a decent amount of money in the game 16+ months ago before the model for the actual weapon was even made to be in the 5% to own the weapon.
3)The player must have the item equipped in loadout before he has spawned and subsequently entered into the current combat situation.
4)The player must be versing someone who does not meet the following three criteria.

5)Must have some modicum of skill to be able to use the weapon the it's fullest advantage in the current combat situation.

Now correct me if I am wrong here but it seems to me that the above conditions can only be brought about by combat prowess, prior planning and on the fly tactics, which if truth be told is what I brought to believe the 40k verse is all about.

If you fail to grasp the true ramifications of my previous statements upon these didactic "pay2win" arguments that have been proffered I am afraid I cannot help you as I feel the urge to make some chocolate banana nut cake coming on and I'm sure you can understand which task is more important to accomplish.

Then I think either the dev did not specify that by accident or they tricked us on purpose. When things start to go downhill, they can dump it back on us: "I thought you guys want unique gameplay elements? We saw the poll!"

There is a wall of text on the OP exlaining everything, but some people say they thought it was just for unique skins anyway...

I think actually blaming the devs for adding unique sidegrades against the will of the community (if such a thing actually exists) goes a bit far. It would be absurd for them to add items if they positively know that the community will scream bloody murder about them.

That just isn't right mate. I originally posted it for the sake of trolling, but this pic portrays an absolute P2W item. I don't think anyone would want that, as opposed to the sidegrade concept.

Either you are trolling hard, or you are embarrassing yourself. I hope it is the former.

I think you misunderstand me. I would very much prefer if all players had access to all sidegrades. However, I think it is factually incorrect to consider them straight P2W item. A bolter that, say, has a lower rate of fire but a longer range may be more useful in long-range encounters and thus would undoubtedly have an advantage in scenarios which would involve long-range firefights. That being said, you still can get kicked in the nuts despite of having this weapon. A straight up P2W items would be a bolter that simply would happen to have a 500% damage boost. And no-one in their right mind would want that. Whether unique sidegrades should be in the game can be disputed though I, to say it again, oppose the concept.

Whether sidegrade will provide a lot more advantages in a certain circumstance or not, they still can be beaten. I'm playing a game called Warthunder, a F2P game with microtransactions, they have a few preminum planes (and non-prem ones) whose specific performances are above normal planes we have. They have their strengths, like they can turn faster and more maneuverable but there are also weaknesses like having slower speed, so as long as we play to our strength and to their weaknesses we can beat them fairly easily.

But sidegraded item gives you 1 advantage while taking another one away from you. You have more +10% damage, yeah, but good luck hitting me with that -10% accuracy. Like I mentioned before, sidegraded items won't cause any trouble as long as they don't provide unique specialty or element for 1 player that other players can have, like having a sniper rifle that can shoot accurately 500m away while others only have sniper rifles with effective range of 400m or being the only one who have access to the Fast Attack Vehicle such as an 2 seated bike while there is no Landspeeder or vehicle which can perform a similar role in game.

Okay, you take that +10% damage bonus bolter to Close quarter combat thinking you have the upperhand, just to realize that the standard CQC weapons like melta, shotgun prove to be as effective as well. In the end your special sidegraded bolter doesn't give you any advantage, it just suits your playstyle better because you're not comfortable using a shotgun or a melta.
