Today I found an article pertaining to the death of one Miguel Angel Jimenez Blanco, someone I doubt many here have heard of. He was a simple man from the Mexican state of Guerrero who for the past year aided families in finding mass graves of victims of the cartels so that their families could find some measure of closure, finding 129 bodies in the hills of his homeland including the missing 43 and founding a group of volunteers for families to come to when those they loved disappeared. His efforts led to the recovery and identification of these who would have elsewise remained disappeared. As of last Saturday he was found shot to death. Another unfortunate loss in an ongoing cycle of brutality.
