"LSM" is shorter than "Astartes" and "Spess marines" so there's one advantage. plus if we just said "SM" People would not know if we are referring to loyalist or traitors? It's a communication thing. No one in 40k community WOUlD EVER THINK that SM = chaos space marines. This is ridiculous. If i say ELDAR you will think about DE?

I would think you would be talking about Eldar in general (Seeing as all three types have the same biology), unless you said specifically "Craftworld Eldar" or "Dark Eldar" or "Exodite Eldar". Be specific when you post. Just because they betray da Emprah doesn't mean that they're biologically different than a normal space marine. It just makes them assholes.
If Dark Eldar were in the game then possibly, it would cause unneeded confusion to some, I mean we are "Craftworld" Eldar
