Invite them to play a few sessions of Dark Heresy. There are few or no PnP rpgs that are so atmospheric. Of course, there's a good chance their acolyte will get instagibbed by the first awful thing they run into, but that's part of the charm.
We shouldn't. Trying to get people to like something is the very reason some people hate a certain cartoon that I shall not speak of here. Sure, you can bring it up with someone, but if they say "no, I'm not interested" then drop the subject and never speak of it again with that person. Unless its a friend, that's fine.
I've seen enough slaaneshi ceremony to know where this is going... *cough* I mean, nicely done dude, keep investigating Yeah... "investigating". *choked coughing*
I'm in favor of abduction followed by drugged hypnotherapy indoctrination used in conjunction with negative-response stimuli-based aversion/conversion techniques
Well I have an advantage here because my close friends are into Metal. Metal = Chaos It's just mathematics. Also the artwork and perhaps some of the literature may sway them.
hmm to one of my friends I would probably say "Hey dude instead of playing planet side 2 tonight you fresh on something similar but a bit different? What it's like you say? Okey listen think Lord of the rings + planetside 2 execpt no dwarfs, but your favorite character was Legolas anyway right? Good! I know just the faction for you" Then I would invite him home to a gamer night where he plays on my premium account as an Eldar, I will help him a bit on the side line and answering questions about the gameplay and the lore if he is curious about that. And if he say he would to try the Space Marines he could play on my main and I would call him brother in every sentence That our I would give him the 3th edition rulebook, tell him where the lore section is and tell him to read it.
1) Whack them over the head (chloroform works too) 2) Tie them to a chair 3) Read to them the Litany of Litany's Litany 4) ??? 5) For the Emperor/One of the Four/WAAAAAGH! More seriously. What I did was sneak batreps towards some of my friends. Now one of them is building a 'nid army. Another one is embracing her inner ork.
