Then they could stop blaming steam and start playing damage control they should check their numbers of pending refundees. but no of course not they are going to go home at 4 pm or what ever. miss leading information on the distribution of wave one and "all packs are the same." no mention of rtp points or xenos or DoI. so strike one, and fuck it why am i even posting these concerns, they wont care.
Asheru, anybody that worked in an IT related company (me included) can tell you that when you have "long day meetings" you are basically doing damage control. If there is a problem with steam they should all be in the office pulling after hours, calling, waiting and replying to their community. Now I am NOT saying that they aren't; bear with me (after all they could just not be "online" and still be at the office to not be bothered by us). However if there was a real stopping issue like "steam refused to send us the keys" "we didn't pay for more keys" "the alpha isn't working" we would have heard of it already. katie seems like she knows her job (community management) and sadly if she is not giving us a precise explanation that means there is something much worse at work in the back. At least something that will make us mad. policy changes, desire to not let that many people in, saving money (by buying less keys), Alpha technical issues, server technical issues, plans to downscale the game even more since they're gradually eating up all the founding they had since last year, etc pick one or any combination you like. Of course at this point the best course is still to stay calm. But there are questions that will need to be answered
Look I say everyone just put the pitchfork down and just wait this out the developers are working hard to help us so just give them time.
If I had to guess, they're probably trying to figure out how to put it up on a server so people can download it. Problem is, updating a manually downloaded game is going to be a PIA and cause more problems. And I bet they don't have a launcher so they are relying on Steam to update the game 100%. And I bet Steam doesn't give a shit. And they can't tell us that because there would be another 100 threads on "Where is the download link you said you'd make?!1!"
we understand that but the severe lack of concise accurate information and misleading language and then blaming another company for some thing that should have been worked out the week before the actual "founders access" is why people are upset. and the fact that they wont pull over time most likely is also infuriating, its just the cherry on top.
