I asked Miguel awhile ago if there would be merchandise, all I know is that I was told they do have big plans for merchandising. No specifics, just that we wouldn't be let down.
I like the idea of one for each faction, the Space Marines should have a copy of the Codex Astartes that is actually just an empty box that holds the game in it and probably instead place an Aquila in it along with an effigy of the Emperor for lols. Chaos would probably be some blasphemous book with a skull lock that opens from the sides to reveal an eight-pointed star holder for the disc(s) and an actual solid eight-pointed star (with possible key ring mount) with an inscribed quotation. Eldar would be a semi-transparent rounded tome with (fake) crystals or gemstones in it's facing with a box that opens up to reveal several latice structures inside containing the game disc(s), a miniature webway portal, and/or a wraith-stone pendant. Orks....they get a box of scrap metal and a hammer with a note that says "Uhhh bosh, dish neez fexin" (this should not be taken serious, this was for lols)
There are Wh40k accessories, at least I know of the Aquila but some other things are not too stupid, though in general if GW wants to really make something awesome they should make 100-1000 unique collectors edition per faction and add in each a unqiue miniature. and a still rare but less unique edition with well accessories like Aquila key ring or necklace, perhaps stickers for the car (a "FOR THE EMPEROR" or a chaos god allegiance never hurts to display in the public) or well Eldar Runes or whatever.... But all should be the same, kinda like in the later DoW editions that came out I believe they were Tau Edition and Sororitas Edition which came each with a key-chain thingie. Something like that would be neat
Nice idea, but let me think further. What you think about a BBQ Kit. Your armor is printed on the apron, the fork has the shape of a Power Sword, the spray bottle looks like a Plasma Pistol or a Bolt Pistol and of course the "Powerfist Oven Gloves". I think this would be a Top Seller.
