AH SHIT STRAFE SPEED TOO STRONK....GUESS I CANT LUNGE ATTACK TOWARDS HIM!..oh wait I can. Except they have inferior AI potential compared to the aforementioned bolter and shoota and pale in comparison to the almighty bushido lascannon in AV. That calls for putting them into a transport and dumping them right next to the opposition in a near-suicidal rush. That seems to align pretty well with what transpires in-game. Of course that wont be optimal against infantry (just like the melta isn't the most optimal), but if you get hit directly by a shell designed to penetrate ARMOR then you're obviously in for a bad time. Are you going to try and say that a Heat beam in the tens of thousands of degrees designed to melt through armored vehicles wont hurt infantry?
I want a forced dunce cap cosmetic for anyone running smart weapons or who consistently teamkills with plasma cannon.
Actually if you had half a brain you'd know they can just walk backwards faster then an ork can engage forwards. Not to mention also the ability to turn and run the opposite way for maybe a second, and then resume shooting away. Every other race can keep up with melee attacks, but not orks.
the only real problem i have with melta guns as an ork its that the game most important deciding factor is how fast can your team kill the enemy transport and well then people see a hole squad with melta guns and the other team just quit cuz you know THEY WILL NEVER STOP UNTIL YOU AND ALL OF YOUR VEHICLES ARE DEAD if this it's so much of a problem just put a max on how many metal user can there be at the same time i guess, also can people explain to me why are there people that say that orks are op when we all have the same weapons mostly the only one i can think of its rodeo but if your dumb enough to get that close to an ork you deserve all of the damage since its a close range weapon its kinda like a meltagun rly when you think just hold the button down when they are close and just hear the wonderful sound of dakka,also plasma weapons are just slower rockets except the kanon that one its a bit more accurate than it should for the damage since the idea of ork weapons are unreliable, inaccurate, loud, insane damage
Yeah I'm not a fan of meltas as beam weapons either. It's much more fun when they're like the shotgun of the game. See Space Marine for exactly what I like.
