A nit-pick: I was under the impression that the melta bomb was more along the lines of a thermite/phosphorous charge or even shaped charge, where it burned a hole in armor which resulted in said vehicle exploding, as opposed to the bomb itself actually exploding. Like I said, being nit-picky, but it's all in the details.
Melta Weapons are a type of Imperial plasma weaponry that make use of a miniature fusion reaction to produce a blast of intense, searing heat. The Meltagun and Multi-melta (also known as "Cookers" or "Vape Guns"), as well as the grenade-like Melta Bomb, are formidable plasma-based directed energy weapons. They basically use pure directed heat blasts even more powerful and focused than a plasma weapon combined with Pyrum fuel under pressure. The grenade is already under intense pressure and is magnetically clamped to the target where the explosion forms a small sun like detonation that super heats the surrounding area; enough to slag tank plate in a blink moment Hope that helps :3
it still create intense heat and light when detonate. it's supposed to have a blast radious? no it's directed only to the target (probally a tiny radious yes) still generate an explosion? yes still create a powefull energy discarge but only concentrate on the target but visible externally.
Honestly, my gripe about the Meltabomb is that they're giving them to Tactical Marines...While I understand not wanting to make Assaults OP in the same of them being super quick anti-tankers, they are the only class capable of taking Meltabombs besides the Sergeant. So, unless we're ALL Sergeants. It just doesn't make sense.
Well, the way I look at it....I guess we could say we're all Veterans of the 1st Company. Considering the setting. Who knows lol.
