What do you think of melee getting damage resistance to vehicle explosions to cut back on TKing.

  1. Yes

  2. No

  3. My own suggestion I'll post below.

This is mainly for the ones that can damage vehicles such as the power weapons. I'll show a little tier list for the damage reduction this isn't for the actual tier that the weapon falls in.

    Tier 1 - Power fist - 85% DR
    Tier 2 - Power axe/maul - 50% DR
    Tier 3 - Power swords - 25% DR

This isn't just for SM or anything this would be for everyone I juse used their weapons as the thing since the other races have equivalents. The amount of damage resistance you would have vs the explosion would be based on how effective the weapon is vs vehicles which is why I did the 3 tiers.

Anyway this won't completely solve the accidental team killing when shooting vehicles with ranged weapons and it ends up exploding taking out any melee who decided to start attacking the vehicle but it will cut back on the amount of casualties caused by it.

Dude, I die nearly every time I try to Power Klaw a vehicle.

My John Hancock right here. Undersigned.

I'm going to type it out bolded and in all caps because people are too ... imperceptive, to realize how vehicle explosion works.

VEHICLES ONLY EXPLODE IMMEDIATELY IF YOU OVER DAMAGE IT. VEHICLES WILL BURN SLOWLY THEN EXPLODE AFTER 10 SECONDS IF YOU DAMAGE IT JUST ENOUGH.

IF YOU USE A POWERFUL POWER WEAPON, AFTER YOU USE CHARGED ATTACK TO BRING THE VEHICLE LOW, USE FAST ATTACK TO DAMAGE IT TILL IT STARTS TO BURN, THEN RUN THE ffffffff AWAY TO AVOID THE EXPLOSION.

When you damage the vehicle "just enough" the experience for disabling vehicle should pop up and that vehicle is already out of action, further damaging it would resulting in immediate explosion and rewards you 80 exp for "finishing".

If you are dumb enough to full on charged attack over damage the vehicle it should explode in your face. With all the problems in this game, exploding vehicles ain't one.

I am getting tired of teamkilling by using melta on a vehicle...

It's very easy to over-damage a vehicle's hp bar when multiple people are shooting at it. Earlier I had two goons throw down meltabombs on a predator while I was power fisting it, and it was already at half hp.

You can guess how I found out there was meltabombs thrown on it. Go ahead, guess.

If you insist on punching a tank to death - you deserve to die.

The Melta-Gun would be useless if melee were just Hulking out on the tanks.
Guard your Melta-Gun operators and dont go chasing cars/tanks.

Buy a Melta-Bomb if you want the xp.

**I would suggest that a Powerfist/Claw should do Damage Over Time from the electrical charge which should kill the vehicle and give melee time to back out. No resistance required.

Some people seem to not realize it's usually 2-3 people firing at the vehicle while there's 1 in melee range. The ranges are sometimes so far away that you can't even see the melee in range of the vehicle meaning that it's very VERY easy to team kill someone because the markers only show up a set distance. I've had this happen multiple times with the zzap cannon with a poor power fist user across the map because I shot 1 last time.

Las cannon and zzap users primary job is to kill vehicles as is the power fist / klaws but saying for the PF/PK users to ignore vehicles is honestly not a very smart idea.. Yes they can 1-2 shot infantry but they are slow as dog shit to promote the fact they are anti vehicle. Also to the people saying "just get it low and back off" you can't always do that when there's a ton of hb/deff gun fire raining down on it sometimes you just don't get time to react.

Most of the people saying this stuff I have a feeling never focus on anti vehicle and just focus on infantry combat.
