Melee starting to frustrate me

This, when my game performs like gold ole Saer's, I Bolter play with the best of them. When the FPS is dropping, latency is kicking in, stuttering, etc....then I might as well be aiming at after images.

    Same thing for melee.

When everything works well, my Tac performs just as I expect him to. When not, I fight DA's and watch them warp across rooms while I swing at the air like "I ATTACK THE DARKNESS".

I remember writing posts more than a year ago saying there was little to no point giving feedback on stats and mechanics when the game is so inconsistent because of the lag.

    Time flies

It wouldn't be so bad if the game performance was a bit more consistent, besides way back when, even with poor game performance, the balance was a bit too far off to just let go (on a few things at least).

Does he have a gazebo with him? Does it see me?

Whenever I'm using a reaper launcher, I intentionally kill team mates. Why shouldn't I?

See, imagine that I'm standing there watching a duel between an Eldar ally and an enemy. There are only 3 possible outcomes here. The first is that my ally win the duel, and so the Eldar team goes out of the situation with a 2-0 advantage. The second is that the enemy wins the duel, and since it takes so long to wind up my weapon, I'll be dead. Hence, the enemy team comes out with a 2-0 advantage. If I kill my ally and the enemy though, my team ends up with a 1-0 advantage.

It's reliable. I don't have to gamble on my ally doing his job, which in most situations that aren't even related to the reaper launcher, is something you can never do. NEVER DO. You can have 10 Eldars at your back, but they'll all let that marine tactical run through them to knife you in the back 3-4 times and get the time to execute me before they do anything about it. I frequently try to give my allies the chance though, but its a frustrating experience.

So, unless this duel have the enemy stunned (or the enemy being a heavy), I'll kill them both with no remorse and my team will be better off for it. Ticket maps being the exception.

Lol have u seen the Paulie shore dungeon and dragons skit? I thought that's where u got it from!

I'll down my own team member if they're dum enough to charge into melee with 4 marines by themselves and I can see them getting hacked to pieces with no backup around. I do a charged shot and once they fall into a heap them and the 4 other guys get blown to pieces. I usually don't get points but I don't care. Guy was doen with no chance of being assisted back to life. That's the only time I'll down a team mate. People who actually understand this don't care. Heck I've been shot down with a JPA attacking me as a dark reaper and I don't care. I wasn't gonna win that fight anyway, so it's not like team killing me is gonna have a different outcome than if they don't. At least they take down the other guy with me.

But good luck explaining that to someone. Sometimes people just don't see what heavy support does though. They don't see the 3 others charging into their backs. Not to mention people are stupid anyway. I'll be suppressing a doorway or star shotting it, and they'll stand outside the door and try to go in. So two things happen, either they walk away, or I stop firing. The they run in by themselves and get killed anyway. When there's three other ways into the point, at least. Sometimes people get themselves killed.

  9. That s funny, as a warlock whenever I see a reaper, if the situation allow it, I intentionally use him/her as a bait. Why shouldn't I?

See, imagine that I'm dueling an enemy with a reaper standing there watching me. There are only 4 possible outcomes here. The first is that I win the duel, and so the Eldar team goes out of the situation with a 2-0 advantage. The second is that the enemy wins the duel, and since it takes the reaper so long to wind up his/her weapon and cannot move for obscure reason, the reaper will be dead. Hence, the enemy team comes out with a 2-0 advantage. If the reaper kills me and the enemy though, my team ends up with a 1-0 advantage but I end up frustrated having served as a meatshield with no compensation. If I use the reaper as a bait, I kill the enemy in the back and get the xp for healing the reaper, my team ends up with a 2-0 advantage and the reaper's eternal gratitude for saving his/her life.

It's reliable. I don't have to gamble on the reaper doing his job and it s a win win situation.

If the reaper ends up killing me too many times, I am usually not the only one of my team to suffer from this treatment. I'll encourage my team to votekick him with no remorse and my team will be better off for it. Ticket maps being no exception.

Nothing worse then have 1 or 2 people on the ropes then being nuked by some heavy user thinking he's a hero.
