Defending from melee nearly always means keeping distance from said melee as long as possible. That might mean rolling 180 across him, or moving back etc, throwing a grenade to get away, jumping off a ledge, or circling to give you distance. The last resort is going melee with a melee, play the game like that and it becomes much easier. - Yes that does mean staying highly aware of your environment and yes that does mean finding a partner to cover you makes things much easier.

If 4 guys are bunched up, i'd of just naded you. Don't bunch up. There should be no chance of 1 melee killing 4 guys unless he is very, very good and you are all lagged out, extremely unlucky or don't know what you are doing yet.

An indirect hit of charged plasma can 1 hit kill someone too. Sounds like the OP experienced lag most likely.

In point of fact, nearly all ranged weapons have a faster theoretical TTK than melee; it's just a matter of people missing their shots. It's comparatively easy to land every swing in melee vs every shot at range. When people actually roll, clang, and dodge swings, you'll find that melee TTK stretches out to many times longer than even inaccurate ranged TTK.

Melee is not OP. It's retarded. Melee should drain stamina or something. Cause right now they just spam attack in circular pattern. It's like a retarded marrygoaround most of the times.

I can win with a HB as of right now, so I don't know how you can't with a knife.
