so the 24th october is the day of the apothecary model reveal. ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3ZsHGTa0tE View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMur_eedwOI So we talked a lot about, tactical, devastator, assault and their jump pack. let's talk about the apothecary! let's speculate about the role and the skill
Listening to quotes right now. Glorius. Well. Apothecary's roll is to faceroll everyone and everything on the map in style of... ...meaning = play soccer with baneblades, rip daemons into pieces, revive 500 people by one push of a button, having jetpack with 100 jumps and armed with flakkannons on his feet with plasma cannon on each shoulder and thunder hammer in each hand... ... yeah... that's what that video of quotes has inspired me into imagining... But seriously. Apothecary will be a nice support class. I wish to hear how their heal is going to work. My guess is apothecary is going to have a huge variety of special support perks. There's a good possibility we won't have just one type of heal from that class, but a lot of very different, each one being good in different situations. Apothecary won't be able to equip them all at once of course.
Hopefully it will be a class which is not able to heal hisself in Battle. In this case it will be true supporting class ingame! Otherwise it will be..... run - shoot - hide - heal - run - shoot - hide - heal .... But serious. Iam not sure about the class for now. Because what we have seen in the last twitches was, that if you get hit and bleeding out, any Battle Brother can save you from death. And furthermore any Battlebrother had some "medpack" with him. So If we would give the Apothecary a real role, than I would suggest: 1) Any Battle Brother can save you from death, BUT your screen will appear like grey or blurred until a Apothecary will save you. 2) Medpacks are not an accessorie for the other classes!
well the actual gameplay has nothing to do with the game at launch so no, not everyone will carry a medpack with them (it may be an option in the load out menu) apothecaries will be fighters in first place and support in sec. so expect that the apo will be way faster or better then other classes in "reviving" he will have some kind of heal for sure but I hope with limited ammo they Also might have some combat drugs earning gene seeds might be in i could imagine collecting a geneseed will let the fallen brother respawn immediatly or filling up respawn storage for a nearby spawnpoint (if this mechanic will be infame) or reducing the overall respawntime for your faction in that area
one of the other things being talked about in the twitch is how healing and reviving is changing now that the apo is in, so we can't really know how it will work until we see what changes they have decided to make.
The developers have said a long time ago that the game will not have a dedicated healer class, so it's just a support, but what kind support it's the real question ... maybe we find it on friday.
