And to the Melta, I know I can speak directly to you, is entirely because they have hard evidence of Melta simply being utterly broken. Before the days of FDs, Melta had a DoT so strong the merest touch of it would practically obliterate you. People ran around with Multi-Meltas and Melta Guns like they were bolters since they have almost the same effective range as the SC. They didn't have windup times, were easy to aim, and didn't overheat quickly. It was horrifying. THE HORROR!!! That's why all of those things were added as restraints to the Melta, and why a single S 8 ap 1 weapon is only semi good against any infantry (assuming you hit), but for some odd reason, 15 freaking Fire Dragons is utterly devastating - but has some serious shortcommings.
Namely being that everyone will want to leave once the holy beams of Asuryan extinguish the lives of the enemy teams, which can be seen from orbit.
I'm very passionate about decimals. I think it began with π, and from there the irregularity of a universe that is inherently irrational but beautiful in it's proportions, like the square of 2 or the golden ratio. The cosmos beat with a chaotic heart, and it draws me ever deeper into it's labyrinth foundations. An example of the blushiest Hesperax smiley that can be imagined for the benefit of those who do not know the dark eldar well. Can I get a kawaii? Also I'm a little concerned about your mention of knowing a lot of teenage girls. I mean, the safest assumption is that you went to school as a child, or that you are a still a child going to school. But if that's not the case, then maybe that's not something you should brag about, it's a little weird. Saying "you act like a teenage girl" would have been appropriate, but it's the disproportionate emphasis you place on knowing a lot of teenage girls. 2/5 is a little boring, but 5/2=2.5, and that's nifty.
Strange that that was what you fixated upon. What is it with people who see me spending 2-3 words on something, then dedicate 50% of their reply to it? Is it just me who thinks im not the one putting "disproportionate emphasis" on it? The rest of your post was very comical also You will google it eventually.
@Zaeryn 2.0 We have like 30 pages of this in the founders lounge. From the days of earliest founders launch. Please not again.
Hey, so its generally agreed that on Tabletop one game round is somewhere between 20-40 seconds and one inch is roughly 5-6m. In one game round a model can: Move, Shoot, Charge, Engage in Close Combat and engage in a follow up movement. If one action takes longer it is assumed it is a more drawn out firefight or a more evenly matched melee combat. It is also described in the [original] 40k rulebooks that when a model moves, they are scanning the terrain for hostiles, utilizing cover and stealth, just as they would in a real warzone. The 1 inch conversion I believe comes from measuring the height of a model. The TT is meant to be a simulation and really can't be compared 1:1 to an Action game, but actually based on these numbers, EC comes close, particularly with gun ranges, with some new exceptions of course (Heavy Bolters...).
