this patch 1.3.14 added new looks for stormshield which is Master Crafted the point is.. There are zero explanation detail about this thing.. and it cost 5k rtc I do not recommend any LSM players to spend their rtc on it until devs fix this issue. Plus, stormshield still looks ugly.
IDK about looks but "Master Crafted" anything are all horribly overpriced and TBH a needless waste of +100LP over the cost of "standard" issue weapons. Shield mods are also a huge waste of LP because the bonuses are meek and as a "Bro" or Orkboy we cannot afford much more than Shield, Armor, Sword because of the total bullshit loadout costs for Ground Assaults. Put a shield on and armour(Artificer) you'll never be able to afford Wargear, trinkets, weapon mods. You're staring at what, 8 to 10 empty loadout slots? That's totally ridiculous.
The real question is: "Does BHVR this on purpose?" I'm just asking because it isn't the first time that something like this happens. Just remember the Mona Emperor Shoulder piece. It can't be so hard to look at www.games-workshop.com search for Space Marines and take a look on how shields are represented and most (if not all) WH40k-fans know and love. But no, an icon on the base shield and call it a day. Maybe the Wolves get a round one...
I have been waiting for ages for an awesome Storm Shield and this is what they come up with?!? Its a flipping blank canvas awaiting something fantastic and they give us the exact same shield, size, shape and dimensions with an icon on it? And it costs more LP!?
I have to ask a question to those that want a cross shaped shield. How do you make it work against ranged if the vertical axis is not longer than the horizontal one?
And here is my question: Why not make all those RTC Items just SKINS. So far I have bought a lot of RTC weapon back when I was a founder and I thought these things will be skins. I do not use my RTC weapons and because why, because they are not worth the LP. There are a few exceptions but not on lsm personally I think. And even they are talking about making them worth their LP how long are we already waiting for this. By their content rate we will se it maybe in half a year or so. The Storm Shield is ridiculous, no stats but the logo cost 100LP more. It is annoying as hell, usally I dont go anymore to these forums because of the overall mood in here but for the shields I needed to speak out my opinion. So what is going to happen with all our post and asking why and trying to get reasonable answers. Propably nothing really because the most beloved words in these years have become: Maybe, soon, in the future, probably and We can't say yet. Ok guess I have a bit of air now back again. Of course everyone feel free to write the typical stuff below my post like: You are just salty. Typical LSM BS and so on as soon someone writes his opinion it give the game a bit of critic.
Blokez 'ave suggested weapons get a skin mod slot wut doesn't cost any LP, dey've mostly been ignored it seems (at least by developa'z)
