I'm pretty mad about the whole "you can pick up ork guns". That's anathema to Space Marines. Not to mention most ork tech doesn't work in the hands of other races.
I don't like the idea of players choosing how much XP should other players get, the ammount of XP should change based on how long you have to fight to get the base or how many people you have to kill, if you just have 2 kill 2 guys that were AFK and you capture the objective instantly you get barelly anything, if you have to fight for an hour and kill 200 guys you get a nice XP bonus. Also there should be an XP cap to avoid exploits.
While I agree on everything you said, shouldn't speed - thus, efficiency - in capturing an objective be more rewarding?
If you played Planetside 1, then this would be much less of a contradiction. You still had to manage ammo quite a bit, but you could loot other players in the heat of battle. I think some of the best moments in that game came from defending a falling base, running out of ammo and med juice, and then having to prowl the shadows with your knife out and shank your enemies to steal their guns and equipment. Plus you gotta keep in mind that enemies have to manage ammo too and they will run out as well. As for TKing, we'll have to see how punishment for that will work, a new gun is no good if you can't use it. They could also probably implement changes to guns when used by another faction (i.e. guns are always less accurate when used by an Ork, other factions can't use Ork guns for long as they break down outside the Ork psyker field, Eldar can't loot other faction's weapons nor can their own be looted as Eldar guns don't have triggers etc.)
Taking away xp doesn't make any sense or serve any purpose maybe he means giving a bonus but unless it came at a cost to the giver why wouldn't they always give bonus? Wait are we talking about XP or Resource Points? I bet the interviewer fucked up and confused the two.
I'm talking about capturing a base fast because it's empty, anyway all of what I say is based on PS2, we know the map and gameplay will be similar but we still don't know how capture mechanics will work (I think adjacency in order to capture a base was the only thing confirmed) so maybe we can't/don't need to apply any of what I'm saying.
That's the awesome thing about Orks, their stuff shouldn't work - their sheer Orkness of creating things make the mind exploded with 'how the hell does that work!'. I've never read about a Space Marine using an Ork weapon.
Never to the point where I don't want to play it. I dislike things certainly. There is also a lot i like.
