Jon's filtered laughter rasped at the Human Biotic. "What care is it to Qurians if there's a councilnor not. My people have petitioned for the Council to cleanse the Geth with us. They're continued denial of hard truths is just as excuse to punish the descendants of those who built the Geth. A cautionary tale to keep the other species in line and use the Geth as a distant threat. Didn't work too well for them, did it?" Jon said with more venom then seemed appropriate. Then slumping back down to brood. "I hope you Humans will help the Quarians more then the Council ever has." This time patting Sal in comradery. "I'm sure we can find you something strong enough. Then you can tell us all about it." Taking a deep rasp, the stims finally kicking in, Jon raised his palm high in mock submission. "My sincerest apologizes your highness. I'd like to see how the Asari would stand against the Geth in full force, upon your worlds, and surrounded by innocents. Maybe then you can feel what us short lived species experience for generation, after generation. You'd be cynical too." The Sentiel takes out his flask and sips the new Turian Brandy. "You wouldn't be the only one who'd like to talk to one. Got a whole bunch of Geth sympathizers among the Quarian who think the Geth are the victims. If I wasn't wearing a mask, I'd spit."
Gorlek, done questioning the Turian, turned and laughed at the exchange. "That why you lose, suit man, there no innocents in war. They run or they die. There no room for mercy when death stalks. Always do what takes."
Jon looked at the feral Vorcha. Looking closer then before, taking note of the tech that was embedded. 'Definitely not your average stowaway. Still primitive and conditioned by violence. Not something to be taken so seriously in matters of special bias.' The Sentinel thought clearly. "Maybe not then, but that is the case now. My people are comfortable as wanderers and scavengers. Try to do anything new and they make you just another cautionary tale." Jon laughed bitterly before continuing. "I can't wait to kill some synthetics. I'll show you what the inside of a Geth looks like, nothing but conductive fluids and synthetic muscle tissue. Maybe if we're lucky and quick enough, I can show you how to recover a data core. You won't get all of it, but you're bound to find something interesting."
Gorlek was unsure if there was anything he'd find particularly interesting in a Data Core, what would the metal men think about, it'd likely look like one of those spreadsheets from the business clans, full of pointless number logs of mineral readings, maybe the cores themselves have value. Now their synth organs on the other hand... "Geth ship correct shape, Hive insects just synth meat waiting to be cut. We make them buzz buzz no more, then Gorlek decide what interesting."
Aulpius winced at the vorcha's words. It was not because they were painful or even offensive, rather he knew deep down, Gorlek was right. Only the strong survive and the galaxy had a habit of eating peaceful species like a panther. There was little hope for the quarians. He couldn't help but feel bad That said, he was sick of the vorcha's shit. "Shut up Gorlek." He said coldly and without making eye contact. @dx144 Aulpius walked over to where Brius was sitting and leaned back on a nearby wall. "this place have a targeting range?"
"Simulation, conserves the ammo, never known when an extra Thermal Clip might come in handy." Brius mentioned as he stood as the shuttle landed in the hangar of "Credit". "Ok ladies and gentlemen, this hull will be your home for the next week. You'll be expected to live together and killing together, there will be no fighting with the crew or each other and if you do start anything I'll personally throw you out of the airlock." Brius spoke to them as he was leaving the shuttle. "Now before I cut you loose I need to show you your place to stay and then explore the ship's to your heart's content." Brius then exited the shuttle to lead them to a multiple rooms, each with about the same space as the shuttle had with a bed, locker and a Human style toilet. "These are your quarters, each choose a room, I'll have them marked up so no else should be in your room, if anyone is found to be in your room report them to me and I'll take care of it, do not take my law into your own hands unless you want to be thrown out of the air lock. Other than that enjoy your stay, if you need me I'll be on the bridge planning out our journey." Brius left the group to decide this on their own and explore Credit no where would be off limits to them and they could travel to any part of here.
Aulpius picked a random room and walked inside. He put what little possessions he had inside the locker before coming back out to Brius. "So....about that simulation....."
"Use the elevator to Level 3, contains the armoury and the medical bay. Some reason the Humans who built it assumed they needed to be next to each other, says a lot about the Alliance's recruits if you ask me. You'll meet Tomas, a Human, in there, tell him I sent you and he'll tell you what you need to know."
Aulpius nodded and walked toward the elevator he had spotted earlier. He tapped the button and went inside. The doors shut and the elevator went to the third floor. ........
