Sal was already fully armed and armored. He didn't have many possessions or any permanent living spaces for that matter. He lived on the move, wherever his mood took him.
    Finally, something else than Omega.
He stomped his way over to the docking port to wait departure.

Aulpius narrowed his eyes at Gorelek through his helmet. "Space Goblins" was the nickname his old comrades used to call them. They were a troublesome race, even to the point they made the Krogan look peaceful, and it seemed that Gorelek would be no exception. Aulpius would have to keep an eye on him. Fortunately for everyone this one seemed all bark and no bite.

Aulpius didn't need the quarian's help. He knew about the geth, he's killed several. Synthetic beings that kicked the quarians out of Rannoch. Despite being automatons that felt no pain, they still shared many biological features of the typical Quarian. Sharing a limited bandwidth brain to form a collective. Their strength was with the group.

Aulpius began to check his cloak and ammunition. Cocking his M98 Widow to make sure it wasn't jammed and testing his cloak. All while keeping up with Brius's pace toward the shuttle.

"Try to isolate them from one another. They don't think very well on their own and don't pick a fight with one if you can't win against them all. They like to call in backup at the first sign of trouble."

To say the Asari wasn't amused by the exchanges going on at the moment would be a lie, as she felt a small smile tugging at her lips. How typical to see a Vorcha speak out of turn, only to have the Krogan cracking back down on him, a custom that enforced the only leadership one of the goblinoids would understand, strength. She briefly considered the Vorcha, taking in the sight of his gear, and wondering how many of his precious years he'd spent in acquiring the skills, equipment, and weaponry to cut his imposing figure. No doubt it was all a great struggle for the creature, and yet, all the time spent in this pursuit would be but a fraction of the lifetime she'd lead herself. Asari, Krogan, their lifespans would dwarf those of the other species assembled, and not for the first time, she wondered how these beings would be able to live with that knowledge. The idea that every moment brought them all the closer to a demise that would not even see them reaching a single century, in the case of most. How they crammed such definition into their short times, it was one thing she'd come to admire about those who existed for such a brief time.

Regardless, it would seem the Bareface would be readying himself to depart via shuttle, granting his comrades a moment to prepare themselves. Nodding at this Valyza would turn and leave from the group, looking to grab a few possessions she'd managed to stow away in a small apartment not far from here. Indeed, as she hailed a vehicle to take her back to her quarters, she'd initiate a countdown clock to departure time.

Jon argued with a batarian marchant for a solid hour before finalizing his purchases. Which mostly amounted to thermal clips, power cells for shields, an armor percing mod (auto-pistol), nutrient paste, and a bottle of Turian Brandy.
'I'm triple filtering this when we get to the ship. Gotta make this and my flask last.' He thought happily.
With all that taken care of and no real home on Omega, Jon burried what little he had in a pile of trash and hoped no one came scrounging around. Less they set off his explosives. Jon had become quite fond his his little hole in the floor.
"Hopefully I never come back." He said, setting off for the shuttle to gather with the rest of his new associates.

Jon arrives a few minutes later to meet with anyone esle who has.
"Greetings fellow fortune seekers. Shall we place bets on who makes it back alive?"

Twin doors would slide open, as once more Valyza would return to the hangar bays, strutting onwards towards the ship that would take her to her next assignment. Over her shoulder was a small bag, it's fabric nice and worn, used by the Asari for some years now, to carry the few things she'd keep with her. Her rebreather, which would be required for the tasks ahead, a small datapad containing a collection of photos of her parents, a nice memento of a time long gone, and a bottle of Noverian Rum, difficult to acquire, but worth the effort to get it. The Quarian, while certainly quirky, had the right idea when he suggested some refreshments for a job, and she had always enjoyed a nice glass after a mission, thus she'd bring it along.

Looking at this band of hired guns, she'd offer a quick nod, saying nothing, while merely waiting for their lift to be good to go. She was eager to get settled in, her mind already focusing itself for the combat and challenges to come, a state of mind she'd enjoy due to her training. Bringing up her omni-tool, she'd swiftly run a diagnostic over her armour, ensuring once again it was running at optimal levels. Satisfied, she'd move onto the next task in her pre-launch list of things to do, passing what time that remained making sure she was as ready as she could be.

The mercenaries that had been gathered would make most think twice before trying to dealing with them. Even a single Krogan makes most other species take a moment to think about it but two would make only the strongest or stupidest to try and fight back.

Brius was content with the eight new members he'd got for his crew. Each one no doubt had some other skills that could be put to use at some point but this was to be their trial, if they couldn't hack it they'd either die in the field or be dropped off at the closest outpost.

"Now, this is the shuttle." Brius was showing the shuttle that was a Kodiak, had a large enough amount of transport room for around twelve but with the Krogan it did get a little bit more cramped.

"We'll take this to the corvette nearby which will take us to the damned moon where the Geth were sighted, trip I've been told should take a day or so to get there. So we're going to spend the night on the ship together, quarters are pretty isolated but this is a corvette, was supposed to be a research corvette but was reformatted after we took it. So yeah, each one of you will have a small quarters to call your own during our time here, I don't know if it needs to be said but please do not damage or deface the quarters you'll be staying in."

With this the shuttle took all in who were willing to get in. Brius sat with a pilot in the front and left the squad to decide who was sitting with who, if they couldn't get along in here then it'd show when they had to use it to deploy as well...

It took a few minutes for the shuttle to reach the corvette.

"There she is, the USS Lincoln. That is the official name of her, we just know her as Credit, not sure who first came up with the name but it stuck. The crew have orders to stay out of your way when possible. I recommend the time we spend travelling you prepare yourself for Geth, research them, spend time relaxing or whatever, I can only recommend what to do."

The USS Lincoln, or Credit was almost identical to when it was taken from the Alliance, only visual changes was the colours changed from the original blue colours and the Alliance emblems that were removed and repainted in a bright yellow.
  7. @dx144 | "It's a good thing I'm no longer Alliance Brius. I might have fought you for the ship if I was."
Metcalfe had watched the unmistakably human vessel grow larger as the shuttle neared it, squeezing between the people packed into its interior to get to a viewport. The asari was nice to sidle up against but the krogan were just too damn big.

  8. "If it wasn't built by a Krogan, it wasn't made with Krogans in mind" he muttered about the cramped space for him, Grukk tried his best not to take up too much space on the Kodiak. But being a Krogan, it wasn't exactly easy to pull off, and his efforts might have been for not anyway with how much space he took up naturally. After settling in he took out his his holopad and continued his readings from earlier. Only looking up when their Turian client mentioned about damaging and defacing their personal quarters. "Clearly you haven't worked with Krogan that often" he remarked bluntly, only to take a look outside the window toward the ship that was to be their home for the duration of their campaign against the Geth.

"Hmmph...could be bigger" he muttered under his breath as he looked toward his holopad once again. "So, tell me" Grukk asked their Turian Recruiter, "how does your mysterious benefactor get their hands on an Alliance vessel without anyone so much as batting an eye?"

    @Avenging-Angel
His train of thought was interrupted by one of the humans in the group speaking up about his past alignment with Alliance military. Grukk has been around long enough that everyone's stories seemed to be retold by different people. Former Alliance members being no exception to the rule. Everyone had a story, it was just finding out which story it was this time. "Really now? And what made you stop? Not enough Credits? Not enough Glory? Perhaps a commanding officer caugh your ire? Stop me when I'm getting close."
  9. Gorlek bristled with belated reservations when he heard the Turian speak of their transportation vessel. He immediately rose from his seat to approach the Employment Leader.

"What this Scarface? You say Corvette, a ship of war, now you say it research science vessel. We face Geth, that mean strong shields, that mean big machines. How this give air support? We find selves face face with Geth warship our research not mean much, science ships soft. Gorlek want see what guns ship have."

The asari took one look at the Kodiak shuttle, before simply shrugging, and stepping within, paying little mind to the cramped spaces. She didn't particularly care about the seating arrangements, simply striding to the far side of the small spacecraft, and taking a seat on the floor, crossing her legs, and leaning her head back. Hearing the hum of the engines as they moved out towards their destination, Valyza would shut her eyes, listening to the words spoken within the craft, paying them a bit of mind, yet ultimately caring little about them. She figured she'd have no trouble with the policies of the Turian and his Credit, and would decide instead to listen in on what the others had to say. In particular, she did admittedly find the Vorcha's question to be intriguing, once again making note that this creature had a bit more to it than the rabble she'd dealt with before.
