Mass Deployment

Ok this is my ideas on how faction mass deployment should work

    Loyalist Space marines:
They would over course deploy in the only fashion that is know from the codex astartes STEHL REHIN. ok jokes this is a space marine deployment method I imagine that it would have a considerable requisition cost due to the massive use of resources used in the construction of drop pods and whatever mechanism propels then to the surface of the planet. And here is just a mini-story on how it should FEEl not act during gameplay

The forces of chaos have just returned after a crushing victory over the orks and spirits are high literally and they are amassing and readying for an attack towards a vital eldar fortress when a boom is heard not a canon round or mere thunder it resounds and shakes the very heavens as the traitors and heretics look upwards and see why the space marines and called the angels of death. Drop pods fall towards the surface in flames the booming sounds of orbital entry shakes the fortress of chaos as the heretics themselves quake not due to the booms but of fear. The drop pods land and another and another and then the war cry of te righteous rings out into the foul corrupted air which strikes fear into the hearts of all who dare oppose mankind "for the emporer !!!!" That's how it should feel in-game

Chaos Space marines: the mass deployment for chaos should be a warp portal that rips open in a designated area of the map by the WC/STFC ( strike force commander )allowing players to run through and just get right in and and tear apart their foes and reinforce their allies. Here is the short story on how it should feel.if should have an above average cost because according the lore a lot of rights have to happen and lots of cultists have to be sacrificed.

The eldar laugh in all of their arrogance as the mon'keigh fall in droves in the name of their emporer and they retreat. The eldar bone singers make quick work of fixing the minimal damage the fortress took. When suddenly a warlock cries out in pain and the webway gates close shut cutting the eldar off the farseer is helpless due to some force clouding their vision. Roars of rage, laughter and screams of agony are heard from the center of the base the eldar rush to the center of their fortress too late the portal is open and the war cry that has led to the deaths of untold millions rings out into the world once again " blood for the blood god!!" Another way it should feel it should terrify players as a literal portal through hell has just opened up inside their base.

Eldar: unlike the rest their entry should be stealthy the requisition cost should be moderate because you are just being stealthy and sneaking out of the webway their but it shouldn't deploy as much as the others. And the eldar should be shortly invisible because the webway doesn't have a turret of it and it doesn't shoot fire like space marine or chaos

The ork 'guard' stands watch as well as a drunk ork can. The ork had a bit too much fungus bear due to the amount of loot they got from the battle with chaos. The ork guard is soon silence by a stealthy blade one by one the orks drop and the remaining begin panicking and firing at random well more so then they already due soon the last ork lands lifeless and the eldar come out of hiding and prepare to raze the ork 'structure' and retake what is truthfully theirs

Orks: the ork mass deployment should be relatively cheap for a mass deployment and should be as random as the orks are. The area it is initiated in should only be where the orks May land my proposition is that it is a teleporta strike. Here is the standard short story on how it should feel

The space marines are meditating of their setbacks and victories. A sudden waaagh is heard inside the fortress without a single shot being fired. The space marines hurriedly grab the weaponry and charge into battle only to find another group of orks right behind the devastators guarding the walls soon turn their guns inwards to hit the orks only to find orks above them. A predator the had been shortly mobilized has just found a group of orks appear out of thin air in it's sights the and soon finds a group of tank bustas facing it's rear armor. The space marines are soon overrun by the sudden attack preformed by the orks.
  2. i think that this depends more on the story line as our man McNeill develops it. So far we have some Loyal Space Marines reinforcing a combined force of Space Marines on the planet, after swiftly defeating a ?small? force of Tyranids on the planet surface.
What we still don't know is what is so important about Arkhona?! The only strategic value we know of so far is the inter-chapter communication station and i do not see the Orks or Eldar particularly interested in that. There is something on the planet that has brought them there as well. The Space Marines I see there defending, the Tyranids just trying to reak havoc, maybe the Orks get there after getting lost, but the Eldar find the planet important. They don't do anything without purpose...
I think before we see how factions deploy we will need more details of what is really going on.

You misunderstand this thread is about mass I game deployments such as the campaign is going on and a war council basically tries to instant deploy most of their forces think something like what boreale did ugh. A large deployment of troops the short story afterwards is how it should feel while your playing and this happens to you/ you take part in it.
  4. i kinda understood that. I guess I was more interested in the first deployment. I like our idea for the subsequent deployments, but the first one might not go like that... I guess I'm just really upset we haven't gotten more out of the story line yet! I'm over here trying to create back stories for my characters and I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY THEY CAME TO THE PLANET!!!!

you confused me with your short story play though mixed in there. I agree with the way the factions should deploy, sounds true to cannon.

Mpfh, telliporta are fer mad mekboyz! HUMIE WRITA!!! Tell wut i fink!

Space marine reinforcements have been dispatched to fortify a fortress severely damaged by a chaos incursion. When the convoy get in sight of the complex, suddenly, out of nowhere, they start hearing roars, sounds of lots of guns, the ground itself begins to tremble for the noise.
Then, the space marines look at the sky and see an immense conglomerate of metal, junk, weapons and engines breaching through the clouds. However, the incoming threat seems to fly randomly, without a steady course, reaching the planet at an alarmingly high speed. When it finally reaches the surface of the planet, it crashes on top of the imperial garrison. The impact make the astartes almost fall on the ground, but they stand till and prepare to face whatever will come out of that fallen asteroid. From that wreck several shutters open and sounds of horns, war drums, electric guitar and gun shots begin to spread across the surrounding fields. At the climax of that hubbub, the billions of creatures inside that construct yells one single word: wwwwaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! And the green tide emerges, charging and smashing through the lines of the space marines, by means of their sheer numbers and their brute force...doing what they are best at: WAGGING WAR IN A PROPPA ORKY ZTYLE!!!!

  6. I think mass drop pod/Rok deployments should be a War Council Asset and quite costly. Faction resources must be spent in order to deploy the pods "en mass".

-Once the War Council expends their resources, orders go out to the fleet for the pods to be readied. A "Prep time" of 1 hour is required to disseminate orders and prep the pods fleet wide before the pods can be deployed.
-During this time War Council Members brief their Strike Force Commanders, then SF Commanders brief their squad and guild leaders. Squad Leaders and Guild Leaders ready their squads and stand by for marching orders.
-After the 1 hour "prep time" is over, Squad Leaders can load up their squads and the mass deployment starts on the Command of the War Council.
-Once the "invasion" takes place, another mass drop pod deployment cannot be carried out for 72-96 hours from the last pod touching down, to simulate recovery of pods from the field and production of new pods aboard the fleet that's in orbit. Plus the cool down period needs to be in place to keep the game balanced and in the proper spirit of the 40k canon.

IZ an ork. I like you short story but aren't lore wise roks only used during the preliminary invasion force *rips off translater* in UVA words roks are only fer starting DA fight not fer continuin it

Orks should just be mass deployed by a large asteroid, covered in orks, crashing into the earth.
