Yep. Too heavy handed. The MoNs ability to push shorter ranges under fire is gone, while the SS can still both defend static points well and do the slow push down a bullet heavy corridor well.
- MoN is still very dangerous oponet ! If you know how to play him ! - This is multiplayer game NOT single player game ! My little advice: Organize yourself in War party and stop crying !
feels like they only give in to the LSM side of things. When our stuff doesn't work (Force Sword), it feels like it never gets fixed
That used to be a valid standpoint when an Alpha still was an Alpha. Now this conceptually is an Alpha as well, however bE decided to make the game available to the public and take money for it (and not exactly little if I may add). So while yes it is an Alpha and things are going to be broken, naturally people are going to expect a certain level of balance to keep the game playable - we didn't have that for a while now. That's why I always said they pushed the game into early access way too early. Should have waited for the game to be at least more content complete and just carry on with the founders alpha until then.... Mate come on. The MoN is only dangerous when you drop in on someone with their guard down. And the fact that "is multiplayer game" does not change the fact that MoN was fine health wise before the nerf and the Shieldbro was on par with him. bE just gave in to LSM whiners who couldn't cope with Shieldwusses not being the sole melee dominator anymore. And how exactly do warparties fix broken classes? It's funny how to some people on here warparties are the solution to any problem. @CabalTrainee there you have your solution... SoC sucks? Play in warparties and stop whining!
I agree completely. As I said there is actually no reason to currently play at all, especially since so much is broken or not implemented. Give me any reason to make such commitment for an unfinished game that no one is certain when it will release, with what features or what final product will be like. Also not everyone needs direct friends to hold their hand in multiplayer game to feel competitive.
Just an assumtpion, looking at how the MoN now performs compared to the shields it's also fair to assume.
I've never seen any incredible feats from shieldbro, at least comparing to MoN pre-patch, and now they are about equal in room clearing (both fail without support), and shieldbro being a little better in slow advance due to shield. Though i may be biased because im ranged LSM player, apothecary mainly.
the shields absorb a lot, not because the bro is any good or not. A good and a garbage shield bro both absorb 45 some odd bolter shots no matter what. More than that, what you've described exemplifies the balance problem. Shieldbro is on LSM, more defensively oriented or range oriented. (apoth bolter and such and shieldbro shield). CSM was stated more aggression and melee oriented (MoN and force sword sorcs), so why should a shieldbro be equal in room clearing and then better at defense? They pay two/thirds the cost of a MoN mark at the moment, so they get more for less
