I like people like you. Anyway, I made a post here ( http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/what-keeps-you-from-beeing-chaos-a-question.53711/ ) which describes what I think at the moment. Short version, I think MoN is fine. He is quick and can take hits. A very good in your face melee. If people want a buff only let him take one additional bolter round.
Here you go guys. I took the liberty of making a short SFM animation to sum up the whole situation (though somewhat exaggerated) and add my own opinion to the matter. Enjoy
If Jump Pack troops are meant to be assassins, they don't have a real subtle way of going about it, do they? Y'know, considering they come screaming down from the sky and there's also a giant on screen prompt to say, "There's an Assualt/Raptor about to stomp on your head" In fact, you've just given me an idea for another video
Stand by my point as usual. Not too harsh. It's an accessory available to all classes in the future. It is melee that is lacking, rather than the power that the mark provides.
Good video but that is not how MoN is supposed to be played. Flanking is not MoN's forte. That is the Raptor's and hopefully the MoS'. MoN was supposed to be a tank that could soak up all sorts of Bolter fire whilst causing chaos and mass panic to the enemy team. This was how a MoN was supposed to be played. MoN didn't need to be nerfed this hard since they already had a hard counter which was Plasma weaponry. Now I can't even rush down a lone Tactical equipped with a Bolter. MoN should stomp in most instances in 1v1 against Infantry units (aside from Plasma) and equal Melee units in 1v1. This is what team play is for. Distract a MoN with a Ground Assault whilst the Tacticals can hammer down hard on the MoN.
Ok i had a hearty laugh at that. But id argue that a follower of Nurgle is supposed to eat enemy fire for breakfast. Then again the final balance is far from over and we dont know if the actual design of the MoN accessory will even be as simple as it currently is. All in all i think they do deserve a buff right now, they are far from being crap but a small nudge up on the power scale is needed when we look at the current shieldbros.
