So essentially what this tool is used for when applied to Ec is to determine the fastest routes to the cap points so you can zerg them? :D that is so sad. (not saying this thread or tool is useless, just complaining about map design and seeing it reflect on those plans.)

yeah, not many care, but some do :)

@Nudu its what ever tactic you want to map out. not everything is zerging :)

But are there any though? Well maybe you can point the few good spots for exploiting plasmacannon etc. when its a hold the line map.

Past the "if defended heavily", the order of priority for points comes down to a few factors:
strategic value, which are beneficial to take early so you can forget about them, and how hard will it be to take it later if things go bad.
Medusa is a nice example of those, where getting C early on makes it less of a concern later, as it's closest to defender spawn, it's the easiest for them take back, thus making it's value-to-hold pretty low, but also rather hard to take later. Though as a contrary to that there's Torias, where B is closest to their spawn, but slapped down between A and C, but A being the hardest to attack later on (making it the most desired to get early on so you can stop caring about it), whereas C only really becomes a priority after A or if heavy AV takes out vehicles rapidly, but once both A and C are acquired, they act as points of strategic value for attacking B from multiple sides (allowing for an easier task of attacking B). But in a case like C, it's easy for folks to be blinded by it having vehicle-spawns, and try to take it relatively early (only to lose the vehicles quickly, or end up failing the attack and just moving to B).

I do really wish more folks would realize the structure of maps, but it comes as no surprise that folks don't get it when they ignore points like B on blackbolt until it's too late (as it's a vantage-point for attacking outwards to B and C) etc. But it would take too long explaining it ingame why the different points have strategic value, so casuals will not try to go for what will reward the team later, but instead just go with the flow of where everyone is to farm kills.

Though sometimes people don't capture points at all because the game mode is really boring and nobody wants to go back to lobby. Also repeating what is essentially the same map, strategy and game mode in every map from game to game gets kinda dull after i dunno, ten games?
