In what way? There really hasn't been anything remarkable in the development of this game. What baffles me the most is the white knighting in favour of Behaviour when they've made so many U-turns and tried to sneak things into the FAQ and hoped people wouldn't notice. Let's face the facts: most Warhammer games are bound to fail. They just turn out to be utter shit most of the time, pair this with the high failure rate of MMO games and a studio that has only developed shovelware so far; what did everyone really expect to happen? The white knighting and supporting of shady business practices is the cancer that is killing the video games industry (for the love of god stop pre-ordering games) and we really need to stop doing this. Just because a developer is working on a game based on your favourite IP doesn't mean they only have good intentions and are somehow better than other AAA publishers despite using similar business practices. Not even sure why I'm still posting on the topic as the last thread got locked by Nathan before he adressed my criticism and the only responses I got were ad-hominems.
how often do people drop from studies when a game is in development anyway?, i mean as far as we know, this might just be the norm of the game industry, people constantly dropping out for differ work, goals or what ever and knew people coming in to replace them
Guys I really hate to use this example but i must. World of Warcraft. This same thing happened to WoW when it was in dev, in vanilla and BC, and none of the orginal Devs are on the game now and just sit back and look at how successful WoW has been, so with that said, dont give up hope, I will not get worried unless early access and closed Beta, in the Fall of this yr, is a failure, if it is then i will begin to panic, until then I HAVE HOPE.
IT is the Norm, people come and go, and like the Patrick leaving thread, The only reason that some people are up in arms is because they are a transparent company and they let us know what is happening behind the scenes. Ofc they work at a game company for X time but when sometime comes up that is a better offer they will take it, Also as stated they were project heads that left and they are usually sought for other projects more since they have alot of experience making games and making them look good. And before more people think im just being a fanboy defending bE for the sake of it, I'm not i am stating the fact rotations like this happen in a company its not new
Yes, it does occur sometimes. People leave, new people arrive, and others come back after some time. The grand circle of life in the games industry, the only difference is now you're also a witness to it. It's a brave new world!
Cmon ya gitz stop wif da panic! Tings gonna end reaaal noice fer dis game. If you needz hot cocoa n blankets I got sum 'ere. *plops panic supplies down*
While I agree with your concerns about pre-orders (It's why I haven't bought a founders pack and don't intend to given what I have seen) and likewise think that there have been some seriously troubling decisions made by bE, I kinda intended this thread to wish a good man fair weather and a safe journey rather than to air grievances or croak of Doom.
