Haven't heard anything yet even though they are some of the biggest threads on both the founders and general forums.
Would rather waste my time trying to give people the ability to talk to each other than shouting at a wall about how the mods are dicks, the devs are lying, or how the game isn't perfect and things have changed. Feels like a more useful endeavor and one that that doesn't just point fingers at people who are trying.
Mods aren't dicks. The devs did lie. The game isn't perfect. This issue won't be fixed. The truth is rarely pleasant.
Don't get me wrong. I hope the game comes out good. And if it doesn't come out good, I hope it comes out on consoles good because they still have a ton of time before that happens. To be honest, I just want a shoutout from the devs saying, look we're doing the best we can. More importantly, I want a promise from them that they will continue working on the game even if it doesn't do well. SO MANY DEVS abandon games that do poorly after release.
Firefall just fell into a coffin (http://www.firefall.com/), hoping this game does better than that. Not a high bar but holy shit was that a train wreck. Also they have been busy since brent is covering for someone who had an emergency and had to go home so I can see why there is less communication right now. Always feels like he's answering everything and it would be hard to do that while also trying to push a patch out for tomorrow or so.
Hahaha. I can't believe those guys. Flat out lying. Not even exaggerating, but lying. There have been rumors that someone might sue them, lmao. The sad thing is they have legitimate grounds for legal action. It'll be a historical event in the gaming industry.
It's historic, but not unprecedented. Sony got sued for falsely advertising some games as "1080p" when they actually ran at 960x1080 instead of 1920x1080. Since 1080p is an industry standard that means 1920x1080, IIRC the lawsuit succeeded. The NMS devs can't be sued in the EU, I believe, because the brick and mortar stores sold the box copies with stickers over the "multiplayer" description on the box, which technically means the game wasn't false advertised at the time of sale even though it's a bunch of bullshit. I'm not saying the EC devs are lying, but moreso that there will be a ton of refunds after the launch because it's not living up to the promises that were made.
