Make Eldar Weapons Sound Not Weak

Wouldn't it go against Eldar craftsmanship to have noisy weapons? I thought they were all supposed to be efficient and typically quite portable and maneuverable. If a weapon is quiet, it's sort of an advantage because you'd be able to hear your squad mates as well as strike at areas of a battlefield and draw less attention to yourself.

If you'z want some loud dakka, you'z gots ta git some orky bitz!

I'm pretty ok with how the guns sounded. Then again, I play VS in both PS1 and 2 so take that with an entire pitcher of salt. The only way to really reasonably beef up a shuricat is to maybe add a sound similar to a blade rubbing against a knife sharpener as the shuriken leaves the barrel or to make some meaty stabbing noises on impact. I think that would be annoying though.
I kind of like how the quietness of Eldar weapons plays into their stealthy nature though.

The eldar weapons are just like light or plasma weapons which in reality wouldnt make noise at all. almost like turning on a flash light. the only thing that a burst weapon like a heavy cannon would sound like thunder or mabey a light saber extending but it doesnt last long. i do like the Dawn of war weapon sounds for every race which has been said alot but if they get the same noises i wouldnt be disepointed.

I think they sounded just fine in DoW series.

Wouldnt make really sense to have loud weapons for them, as has been stated

I don't think they should be loud but they should have some "oomph" to them. Like percussion or a low base or something. Just to make it feel like they're packing a punch.

Some futuristic weapons in games just sound really tame. Whether the Eldar weapons are loud or not they still need to sound cool and they need to make the wielder feel like they're dealing actual damage

Hm, I do like that low percussion/bass bit... Maybe they can keep the pew-pew sound for most instances, but when it's your weapon, or another eldar standing within a few feet, then perhaps you can hear some subsonic "umpf" to it. You know, one of those noise pulses that your ears feel rather than hear. That way, for everyone else there is still a bunch of pew-pew coming at them, but for the individuals firing it actually sounds like their weapons are, you know, shooting.
  7. Personally, why I don't have knack for these alien spieces is that their weapon already sounds too weak.
Shuriken? Really? It sounds like more medival to me than something from 40k universe
  8. By that definition so does sword, blade and axe

This. They're such an unconventional design it's a tough balancing act between making it sound alien and making it sound like it's actually a deadly weapon. As others have said: Dawn of War did a nice job.
  10. Personally I feel they should sound exactly as they are described in all the books, when launching it has the same sound as a paintball or airsoft gun or make a sound of braking the sound barrier as they are gravametrically launched (using gravity accelerators) and apart from that after they launch, they continue to make a sound as they travel. The Spinning blade generates sound as it travels threw an atmosphere and should make a slicing sound on impact with flesh or a chinking sound with impact on stone or metal.
