He could feel the hull of the thunder hawk take the heat, He would need to work fast if he was to take it down and then get the team to there drop off point. He took with what aim he could and fired the battle cannon with his servo arm as he let the other guns get into position to fire. "Pilot that dragon may have taken out the cargo container that held your sentinel lets try to avenge it by taking out this Lizard!" Malrus said as he piloted the thunder hawk. -Mortimor As the prayer finished and the heat of battle was on Mortimor merely stayed in his seat knowing he would have to be one of the first off the hawk when it either landed or crashed at its drop off point. "Seems we will have a hot drop, Eldar likely already knew we were coming if they have what Malrus calls a winged lizard already out after us." Mortimor commented as he petted Cerberus.

"If the elder knew we were coming and are already trying to kill us, it would be prudent to drop us off before they do something stupid like destroying the map we are here for!" Raternle yelled at the Warpsmith, a rare iota of emotion slipping into in his otherwise monotone voice. Clearly, it could be a development that meant the team's task became a race against time..... Or for all the Datasmith knew, the 'Winged Lizard' could just be attacking the Thunderhawk out of a case of mistaken identity. He was hoping for the best, but planning for the worst case scenario.
Dryly, the prophetess merely noted, "I did not see that coming", as she remained as calm as one could with a dragon bodychecking ones vessel. It was obvious that Sarcopha would not lend her psychic powers to this encounter, at least not yet. She seemed satisfied with watching.

The scales were thick and appeared to even deflect the laser to some degree. It was a formidable foe, even as the Twin-Linked Heavy Bolters only appeared to shed off scales and cause miniature explosions across it's surface but without any more serious damage. The beast screeched before latching itself on top of the Thunderhawk, embracing it tightly while breathing hot fire on the top of the hull, attempting to melt through it. The tail here and there would slap against the side of the Thunderhawk, scrapping off paint of the wings. -Malrus Malrus felt his helmet knock his head as the rogue trader slapped him. "We are on our way down, But we wouldn't want to land in a area while under attack by a Lizard that spits flame at us and would likely light the area we land in on fire would we?" he said as he piloted the craft now heading more towards the clan. Having his servo arm move the main battle cannon towards the Dragon on the roof he tried to have the cannon act as a close range weapon to push the dragon off as he flew toward the landing coordinates. As this was done he hopped the cause the dragon to come off and to fire at it again with the battle cannon. "Keep Firing at the beast I am getting us close to the cooridantes as I can, Expect for it to continue after." Malrus said as piloted the hawk down trying to get the lizard off.
Aligning the lascannons to fire at the beasts center mass and the heavy bolters to have clear lanes of fire on the face of the dragon that had so far proven to be a stubborn annoyance Garth pressed down on the firing studs of the weapons. The Rogue Trader replied unsatisfied. ~~ Air-Combat vs. Giant Dragon ~~ @Vulpas | @Vanestus | @Grall_Stonefist The massive primary cannon shot an empty shell in order to let the recoil hit the beast like a jackhammer, shaking the beast indeed off as it almost crushed it's head. The dragon flew around the craft and attempted then a full-frontal attack which was foolish as the united firepower of Bolters and Lascannons awaited it, as the main cannon was still reloading. The massive gunship weapons pierced the chest, at last. But the Heavy Bolter fire went into the sky as the dragon changed it's flight route too drastically the moment it was actually hurt. So instead it got after the Thunderhawk from behind and started to claw and spit fire at the wings, attempting to crash the craft now.
