I've been on this forum since the day it opened, but I'm always socially anxious and so I've just lurked since then. Though now, with all the news about the Founders' Pack and with the feeling that the game's getting closer and closer to arriving, I figure I ought to finally write up an introductory thread! I'm fairly new to the 40K universe, and while I'm probably too accident prone to successfully paint the figures (and wouldn't have anyone to play with nearby if I could!), I've enjoyed reading the novels and dabbling in Dawn of War and the recent Space Hulk PC game. I'm definitely looking forward to EC--traditional MMOs are starting to get a bit stale for me, but I still want to be able to play in a persistent world that I care about, so the design choices for this game so far seem to be exactly what I'm looking for! Not sure whether I'm going Chaos or Space Marine yet. I tend to play a healer (it fits my personality best), but I'm leaning slightly towards joining the Word Bearers, so I'm hoping for a Chaos-themed healer type of role (Sorcerer?). Then again, I'm an altoholic, so I'll probably wind up with a Space Wolf Wolf Priest for good measure! Anyway, now that I've come out of lurking for this post, I hope I to do so more as we get closer to release!

Welcome to the forums, I suggest you roll with your idea of playing a Word Bearer. Maybe that's just because I like to convince people to join Chaos
