You can look forward to seeing WCA in the upcoming campaign as well. All of the LSM guilds need to help do their part if we want to win this next one and hopefully this lose has helped us guild leaders realize that.
Truth. I've suffered with the LSM since the first days of alpha, but I just can't deal with them any more. I play games to have fun. Trying to play LSM is an exercise in frustration, with levels of ineptitude and outright refusal to play as a team that simply boggle the mind. So for the past few weeks I've been playing Chaos and well... HYDRA DOMINATUS
At the risk of this sounding like a marketing pitch.. if you guys know of new LSM players that needs a tutor (or rookies of any faction for that matter) send them my way. I've made it a top priority since day 1 to teach people both new and experienced. Whether they'd rather watch and chat or group with me I'm a full service organization. As long as they have a desire to learn I'll help. And I'll just quote this again cause it speaks volumes. This is a team effort and for the good of this game overall we need to step up and help them.
I'm ashamed to say that I spent more time on my rank 3 Ork than my rank 5 LSM during the campaign - and had more fun even when losing (orks nevva lose, see?). The experience of playing with LSM pugs can be very painful, and even seeing a scattering of guild names means very little. It has to be a co-ordinated guild group to make a difference, which I've not found to be true on Eldar or Orks. On those factions, if I just stick to the guild names I recognise, that's enough. And it absolutely was a failure of LSM guilds that led to us not completing our objective. Eldar and Orks benefitted from their low pop/high vet combination, but CSM was due for a loss just as much as we were, until the guilds stepped up with The First Arkhonian Black Crusade. LSM didn't even need to counter it directly, but they needed a big push at some point. We were 6% away from what we needed for Russ's sake. ONE NIGHT of push would have made the difference. So us Veterans, Chapter Masters, and Guild Leaders need to step up. Organise as a faction, not just as guilds. I can't stress this part enough. I see this going on in the other three factions, and I'm not even in the loop. Educate the new players, set an example. Don't yell at idiots in-game, or complain about OP/UP - set the tone. Send people to the forums - many players may have just picked up the game and started playing, with no resources. For my part, I'll soon be creating and recruiting for a guild whose sole aim is to train squad leaders for pugging.
Loyalists are good shit. Playing another faction every now and again is fine, but don't leave your faction just because 'the players are retarded'. Orks had that problem at the start and they're doing fine.
One other point: the Eye of Terror not only has more people in it than the LSM Discord, but all of the major guilds are represented, and most of the Leaders are active there.
