Grats to brothers from Ultramarines legion and their descendants, return of loyal primarch to Imperium cannot be anything but reason to celebrate! ^*When person is salty in both RP and Meta*
I would actually prefer any other loyalist primarch returning. I mean Jaghati would give you motocycle rides.......possibly let you feel that magnificent mu-stash of his..... Corax could tell you new secrets and tricks he learned to making bigger and better space marines...... Ferrus would get people off of the overused cyber-fetish the imperium has. While making some kick ass weapons Dorn would just be Dorn and use his bluntness to brighten up people's day. Russ Would have beer.......a shit ton of beer...... Lion would finally clear up if the fallen are heretics or not. Vulkan would shake peoples hands, smile, and generally be a nice guy. While also making some kick ass weapons and sanguinious would finally cure the blood angels of the black rage because it can't exist if the winged bastard is still alive. Now what does blue boy bring to the table? more books that nobody likes?
Guilliman was actually a very interesting Primarch, if they didn't Matt Ward his ass up. Not sure which direction they're going to go with this, but I kinda hope they back off that spiritual liege crap (especially considering Papa Smurf wasn't even big on religion in the first place), and I hope they back off the "everything according to the codex that never changes" shit cause Big G actually did change/add to the codex as long as it was proven without a doubt effective. He, as a Primarch, actually has the ability to be super interesting as long as they don't fuck it all up for us Ultras again and make us look bad.
That's adorable. You're hoping GW won't fuck something up...... Well I got one thing to tell you my friend: Prepare thy Anus
Guilliman could be an interesting character, but only when paired up with other primarchs imho. He is way too balanced and plain on his own, but is a great reflection and narrating character when he talks about other, more slanted primarchs, giving readers more insight and different perspectives as seen in HH books.
Actually Im happy to see LSM veterans (I know a few) chaneging sides and fighting for Chaos. From RP perspective Im eager to see weak souls leaving because there is no place for them amongst true Astartes. From gaming experience its also good - more population for other factions, more battles. Actually I would recommend anyone, who can play other faction, to switch and never look back. Its all for greater good!
Sure, we get a lot of new players - while other factions are a little more grizzled on a player to player basis, so often we get schooled on average. I see it as a challenge, however. As others have stated, a true warrior of mankind fights even when the tide is against them. Only the brave stick around for LSM, we who have the handicap of a majority of in-experienced fighters who must be shown the way. It is why I hate to see my fellow loyalists curse and be disrespectful in in-game chat; if you're going to complain about something or someone, know that they simply might not know the workings of the game properly as some of us think we do. Offer advice; be clear in what you think they should be doing. Be constructive, you may lose the game this time but those players will take what you said and apply it to their other matches. That is how we get better. On several fronts, we must fight harder; though should we succeed, we emerge stronger. Steel thy souls, brothers. Let not your mind be swayed to heresy, or to sympathy for the alien. R.P. Aside, enjoy the other factions, play them by all means, but do keep hope for LSM - I beseech our veterans. The mentality of "I would play for LSM but they suck" is a self-fulfilling prophesy. Indeed, we will not rise should our best think it the duty of another to carry the weight of the faction.
