And again, your narrow perspective and inexperience aside, we come back to my post which you have not refuted but have desperately tried to go around: Apothecary gets +1 stamina for 120lp. Traitor tactical gets +1 stamina for 150lp. It is, quite literally, an example of the same thing being priced differently for a different faction. You saw that, somehow ignored that, went into one of your usual fits trying to obfuscate it, but the point remains that that difference in cost is there.
Eh? Shadow Spectres have jet packs so they are more like Tau battle suits but without all the good upgrades, 1 less strength, toughness, armour and much less range, they can only move 6 inch's and basically use a hand held fire prism gun if I'm not mistaken, further more combing their fire reduces its damage potential for a single attack which will pen a tank on a 3+ but that's at 18 inch range with 6 hits before. Still if we are going by EC, Eldar still have more melee classes anyway so I wouldn't say they are not melee heavy, just without ez packs its a little harder for them since they struggle reaching people when suppression does nothing and stealth is countered by graphic settings and they don't have exploitative I frames. Edit: Scratch that, they are like dark reaper, swooping hawk hybrids but without the good stuff of either and many of the downsides, aside from haywire nades in favor for a cool gun with AI and AV capabilities but only works in ranges where they are most venerable.
And again I'm going up against a wall. Compare wargear prices WITHIN THE ARCHETYPE of class, not between completely unrelated archetypes. Supports have NOTHING in common with frontline ranged infantry. You're literally comparing apples to oranges.
you realize that the only difference between a tactical and apothcary is that an apothcary is a tactical with training in the "medical" field of Astartes physiology. If apothcaries could cap points, there would be no reason to ever play a tactical as an LSM again.
Wow, you...you don't even play the game, do you? "supports" are right up in the middle of the fighting, what are you even on about, ahahaha. Since you were stuck on that and you couldn't refute me, I'll even drop to your level. Apothecary: 120lp +1 stamina Sorceror: 150lp +1 stamina, Totem of Fortitude. Same archetype, different costs for the same thing. What now, EIDF?
This. holy fuck this. @Kaitof I spend most of my time as a sorc or raptor, if im playing raptor, im usually guarding a point and perched where i know every player wont spot me from when i DEATH FROM ABOVE their dumbasses. As for sorc, I am almost always right there in the thick of it with my team, making sure that my team stays healed, and if no one is needing that kind of help, im helping them kill things with everything ive got in my arsenal. I am going to just go on the assumption you havent played the game in at least 6+ months.
6 games today as Orks. All vs Space marines. Didn't win a single one, wasn't even close. Waaagh didn't even go off. Think I'm going to take a break until terminators come.
Howling Banshees specialise in melee combat, and they are incredibly slippery in close quarter combat. Plus Striking Scorpions are also extremely competent in melee. While Banshees aren't as strong or tough as other combatants, they are definitely a terrifying foe in close-quarters combat. They are extremely agile and each has a powersword capable of slicing through a Space Marine. In regards to not getting close, Dire Avengers have shorter range than Boltguns, therefore they have to get closer than other ranged classes. Eldar are pretty good at everything. That's the point from a TT/Lore perspective only. Every Aspect Warrior does one thing, and they do it well. The con to Eldar usually is that they are always outnumbered, and when taken out of their niche, they suffer. Eldar are not melee-focused, they aren't focused on anything as an army. The only common trend on TT is their speed, and cheese. This has nothing to do with EC. But your comment about Eldar not having good melee just isn't accurate. Especially when you consider that Eldar are meant to be strongest when using combined arms, which includes melee.
