Could the damage of the Ground slam be looked at and adjusted? I'm not advocating back to Pre Release kill everyone in a 10 meter radius, but an adjustment of either area of effect or damage.

If I Striking Scorpion gets a large damage modifier for back attacks from stealth that is undetectable shouldn't the ground slam that currently has a pinpoint AOE and give a warning icon on the screen of your opponent do more base damage, get some sort of damage modifier, or at least have a larger AOE?

The full mass of a space marine/chaos in armor coming in from height, jet assisted does the same damage as a fast attack with a small stun??? While a Scorpion that is lightly armored jump attacks you from the back with no warning icon can 2 shot you with their attack? I understand that this is fantasy but in what world does this make any sense?

As a signature attack ground slam is pretty useless, as the current mechanic works now its not a valid option in combat or even initiating combat. Its basically useless and just burns fuel charges that could be better spent evading/meleeing. Its impossible to catch people unawares with it because of the warning icon and its a poor choice even against braced characters, and you are just as likely to slam into the wall or bannister as hit your opponent- the damage is that of a fast attack even from the back with the chance to stun if you are directly on the opponent (actual hits boxes seem to have to connect), as a comparison the strong attack almost always connects, does much more damage, a stun if you are using a heavy weapon and has no warning icon.

Not sure if marines have an equivalent but the orks have a weapon that does increased damage during dive attacks. Not sure if it works for slams aswell.Though the whole "warning' when you are about to slam someone is BS imo!

I think its 30-66 damage when doing a ground slam. So its just about right imo. No buffing/nerfing required. The AOE cone is really not even that big.

Scorpions are pretty easy to counter, just pay attention. Don't rush in before looking around.

Also JPA don't need anymore help, those guys are already deadly. I would say they are better than Scorpions since the nerf.

You don't even have to counter the Slam, just move 2 inches after you get the waning on your HUD. The current Ground slam is worthless. The Scorpions easy to counter or not still have a useful attack.

I think the ground slam damage is fine where it is at the moment, especially coupled with the fact that anyone hit by a descending JPA/Raptor is also stunned long enough for you to get in a light attack, which coupled with the ~60 damage from the slam itself is more than enough to put the ensuing duel in you favor. Maybe the aoe could increase slightly since people get a warning about the impending marine about to fall on their head, but that would probably necessitate less damage so you don't have a group of JPA's all slamming into a cluster of enemies and outright killing all of them just by landing.
  7. Scorpions have to slow walk their ass and hope to not be seen to get their attack off.

You have supreme mobility and the slam also STUNS opponents.

    Seems balanced to me.

Its not the least bit useful though, it has no place in combat. There is no instance where it is more useful than another option- In the air notice a opponent (no one slams)- land (slow walk your ass up hope they don't turn around) and strong attack- from the rear do more damage and stun the opponent as well.

As a signature attack its lacking.

    It's your initiate, nothing more.

I think JPA'S are fine as is. I play a lot of JPA lately so I'm not biased here. Also on a note about scorpions. I rarely seem them anymore. Their stealth is pretty shitty thh, very obvious even when not moving.
